2012 ETA
Re: 2012 ETA
There was a rumor to this effect last year. I don't think it's a bad idea to merge APR and WW to maybe make a more competitive team.Guest wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 4:18 pm APR and WW should join. APR in 95 percent of the age groups suck at the aaa level.
Re: 2012 ETA
Doesn't AAA have open borders anyway. I mean, once you get a release from your home center, you can play AAA for anyone else in either the G or OMHA. Not sure what else you want.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 6:46 am Or just open boarders and let us go wherever we want. That works too.
Re: 2012 ETA
At U14, LOR kids (Markham and AP) on the ETA side can go west to the G freely. They cannot go east without getting cut or a release. Kids not in an LOR center (WW, COW, NS, etc.) are stuck there till U18. Even if they get cut or released from their home centers, they can be stopped at AP and Markham before being allowed to go to the G.
But yes, open borders within the ETA would be ideal.

Re: 2012 ETA
You better have the best goalie because you have the WORST coach in minor hockey!Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2024 11:01 amKjg have the best goalie in the age group faces 40 plus shots every game he playsGuest wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2024 7:10 amcouldn't agree with this more. GAA isn't a true depiction of the goalies skill, lots of goalies on weak teams get peppered with 30+ shots a game but let in a few. goalies on strong teams see less than 12 shots a game and still manage to let in a couple.Guest wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 9:36 am Lots of good goalies but goals against average is clearly impacted by teams they play on. Top teams have the best GAA because the team is also better.
Re: 2012 ETA
I think there’s always a parent or two on most teams that would argue they have the worst coach in the league.
Re: 2012 ETA
It amazes me how few people understand the rules of player movement in our current state.
Unless the rules change, no one in COW, WW, NS, Pboro, KJG, QRD, YSE or NCP can go ANYWHERE until u18 unless they get (1) Released (2) Cut (3) Physically move or (4) Do the fake separation. And if they get released or cut, they have to get through an LOR before they can get to the city.
Here's to hoping this changes. But as of now, that's how it is.

who are the top 5 forwards and D that stand out then.Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2024 11:51 am In general, the loop does not have a ton of strong goalies. In no particular order, this is who stands out.
1. YSE main goalie (played BoB)
2. KJG big goalie
3. Whitby long time goalie (although he is falling off a bit affer taking summers off)
3. NCP main goalie
4. COW goalie (from RH)
