True Leaside was missing players, but the reason for this was players just walked away and quit the team.

Not 100% right. They did walk away but because they were not asked back next year. Pathetic.

This GTHL concept of releasing/cutting players before the season is over is part or he problem with Canadian minor hockey. It serves no-one creates hard feelings. These are not professional athletes. No coach should should release a kid until the season season over. If he does this is what you get as witnessed with Leaside. The NYK are notorious for this as well.

If teams were not recruiting in December and waiting until Try Outs then it would be a different. If not told until end of the season then it is hard to find a new home.
