The caps are done. The coach and bench staff don't even have all their certification courses. The org cant pull the plug now so they will go through the motions and hold the tryouts. Time to blow out the candles

Why hold tryouts and waste everyones time and money.

If your going to the caps tryout you basically are scrambling for a team. you never know, maybe there is 15 other kids scrambling and will show up at the tryout. the caps will be reborn

Hey, I'm there biggest fan. the old coaching pulled a team together every year. This year the coaches really screwed it up. And then I've been told they are skating with other teams. Are you not embarrassed?

Nice win by TE last night. I will watch on Live Barn but we now have a series.

There doesn't seem to be a 2008 GTHL A EAST thread. Just wanted to know what people are saying about the VR A East team? I'm hearing great things about their coach.

With the exception of 1 or 2 top teams, the east is considered extremely weak, so not much to talk about.

No one gives a flying F about the VR east team, except for their parents, no one else is saying anything about them.

Who exactly are you hearing "great things" from? The coach?

If they were still in the west, they would have been in last (well, maybe they would have been tied with the Royals and caps for last) moving to the east got them a few more wins, but this is a team that never has, or ever will make the playoffs. They were always a guaranteed win when we played them in the west.

The bottom 5 teams in the east are very weak teams. VR east has made some strides to improve, but Scarborough, FH, HC, LF and TA should just pack it up. I'll allow VR east to stick around, but if Scarb, FH and HC put together a team again next year, it's just a waste of everyone's time.
