GTHL is suspending players minimum 7 games for using a certain word that rhymes with hussy.. apparently the office said they consider it a derogatory term.. anybody else hear about this?? 2 older player already suspended this year.

Context - player a hits player B from behind into the boards. Player B gets up a d cAlls player A an efen hussy for hitting from behind.

Player A gets 1 game for hitting from behind, played B gets 7 games.

Yup...we learned about it back in 2018. I thought it was 5 games at the time.

I have no problem with the rule, but it would be nice if the league provided a list of prohibited words rather than a definition, backed by discretion that is clearly influenced by woke Karens and social media.

Definitely seems like the punishment doesn't fit the crime. That said, once one kid gets 7 games for using a certain word...you'd think the rest of the team would be smart enough to use a different word.

IF my kid were the second player to get 7 games, I tell him he deserves it...not because of his choice of words, but for being too stupid to learn from his teammates situation.

Context is irrelevant
All you proved was that a hit from behind should have a longer suspension which I agree with, not that any derogatory word should have a shorter suspension.
Either you didn’t know the rules before hand of which you are supposed to including teaching/coaching the players to abide by regardless of whether the suspension fits the crime
File an appeal or lobby to have hitting from behind penalty and suspension rule changed

There are escalating penalties for check from behind, as it should be.

2 min minor + 1 game
5 min major + 2 / 3 / indefinite for ongoing infractions
Match penalty 6 games and 11 games for second offence

Correct
So therefore do we need a list of words that carry different and escalating suspensions or can they all just fall into one category
