Only benefit to the G is the travel. That’s it. That’s the only good thing.
https://myhockeyrankings.com/rank.php?y=2022&v=137

6 of the top 10 teams in Ontario play in the G...in other words, almost 50% of regular season games in the G are played against a top 10 team.

Thats the benefit.
You talked about 08 or 07? Idiot.
3 of the top 10 teams in Ontario play in the G....in other words almost 17% of the regular season games in the G are played against a top 10 team.

That's the benefit????????

Soooooooo if you play on a top 10 team in the G you will play a whopping 6 regular season games against a top 10 team.
So 83% of the regular season is essentially a waste of time. Good thing the travel is the benefit otherwise there wouldn't be any. Oopsie
What about highly skilled GTHL players leaving teams like RW, Sens, Rebels for OMHA (eta and scta) teams. More games, time, refs. Top 60% of first 20 picks coming from the O! In 2024.
SCTA Team only had 1 Goalie...where was TM Goalie?

Please do not base a spring tournament result as something as significant as “the G” is not the place to be. The G, is by far the best place to play if you are looking for OHL exposure. Overall best talented players in Ontario play in the G, of course there is always a handful of decent players that play elsewhere.
Look, with the use of video anywhere is the place to be. If the player lives and plays in Nunavut he will be found. This idea of being in "the G" and gaining an advantage solely based on it is ancient history. There is clearly an abundance at talent here but there's an abundance of talent throughout the country. I'd like to believe that my son might be in a better position than others because he plays here, however it is no longer the case. Another well run tournament that showcased a seemingly deep 2008 class this weekend. If there was any doubt about this age group, this weekend showed otherwise. Best of luck to all the boys from all areas of the province, each and everyone of them showed extremely well.

You guys must be new to minor hockey...because everyone knows that things change in Minor Midget.

07 Bantam had only two G teams in the top 10, then in Minor Midget there were 6. Similar changes occurred in Minor Midget with the 01's, 02's, 03's 04's.

Expect a similar shift in the rankings for the 08's, then the 09's, then the 10's, etc..

"Mr. Goofs in Toronto"...thought he knew something about minor hockey and now realizes that he doesn't. He's insecure and has a fragile ego, so in his embarrassment, that was the best response he could come up with. He's a fckn loser.
