Disagree. Their start is probably not as strong as they wanted, but they also play 4 games in 4 days. It's good for CDN hockey.
I'd rather see them than all the Russians coming here to play. The league is from CDN players from Toronto. Great to have the odd kid, but good to see the league stopping the Red Wings and the Flyers from adding so many Russians to their roster.
Do you feel threatened? What about the Americans that are playing?
If that is the talent coming out of there, nothing to be treated about. Enjoy watching from the stands!
Did DMF get their new additions yet?
Nope

Ya if you're against the Russians because it's supposed to be a Toronto league you shouldn't allow any Americans, OMHA, Ottawa or Alliance kids in either. The G is supposed to be the best league in the world and if that's the case let the best players play, who cares where they're from.
I think outsiders are good for competition. Anyone against good players coming here to play are simply threatened by it. Don’t worry, maybe 1-2 kids will sniff the show from this loop.
Ah, you are so naive. it's cute.

If it was just the better competition coming over, then 100% agree. But like everything in the G, corruption and money trump hockey and kids. Reality is that you have parents from overseas paying to get their kids undeservedly on teams just like you do here, except you also have a whole supporting ecosystem of money changing hands and deals with coaches, trainers, hockey schools and hockey agents that bring in decent ordinary players from overseas that displace equally good or better players here.

Not just. A lot of supposedly not-for-profit organizations making a heck of a lot profit. If this was a proper business, then it would crater in bankruptcy because of the illegal business dealings. But it operates in the murk and so gets away with because too many desperate parents think their kid is going to the show or getting a scholarship.

I’ve never paid for anything more than my kids fees and he’s having a blast and will take the friendships, healthy lifestyle and the game with him for the rest of his life. (He’s not going anywhere significant hockey wise by the way) Parents blowing boatloads of money for their dream is just plain stupid if you ask me and the kicker is that their kids are the most stressed out. Good job rich parents. If they don’t make it, they’ll have a big coke addiction and depression to deal with thanks to you. Good luck…

Just by paying your fees, you are paying for someone else's kid too in this league. and maybe that other kids private training and maybe even part of their private school fees.

That’s fine. It’s on par with everyone else’s fees. I’m not jealous or upset. Just remember that karma is very real and what goes around comes around.
