Multiple of those kids looked awful in tryouts but they got signed quick
They will probably do ok with 2 solid first lines and their D is much stronger this year. But their third line? One kids dad forks out about 20 grand for his kid's spot and the other kids dad is the U13 coach and best buddies with the board. At 14, those kids must know they don't belong and which kids should have made it.

HP is looking good for this year.

Wow! What dad is paying 20 grand? Maybe he should have used all that money and invested in train him and development. HP is looking great.

Look, it happens on every team, in every organization but it still sucks. it sucks for the kids that deserve to be there and are stuck playing with kids that don’t. It’s definitely for the parents egos. And I don’t care what people say, the moms are worse than the dads. Catty and self serving. There’s 2 if not 3 on the board that just do it to try and get their kid a guaranteed spot or find out what coach they need to fall over to get their kid ice time while they group together and complain.

Agreed that SCP and HPL will be better. SCP added a cpl nice players and HPL got rid of the dead weight that seemed to slag them down. Problem is like most teams a parent coach in both organizations will only look after their own kids and buddies. 77SCP doesn’t leave the ice and parents complain. HPL coach looks solely out for his coaching staffs kids. All teams have their issues.

I'm sure it's frustrating for the parents but JW77 is the best player in our league and it's not even close. Any coach, whether it's his dad or a non-parent would do the same. HPL is a whole different story. KB's kid is barely a second-liner on that team now with their additions so they might have some ice time management drama this year.

HPL might be better served hearing a different voice on the bench.

Agree SCP and HPL will dominate this year again. Not sure what happened in LJK and Elgin but heard a lot of changes. Brantford got a few LJK.
We have a two team league .

I’m sure most of you are hockey experts and have every stat on these young men. There is alway changes every year. We can always compare and complain but in the end it’s about who steps up and competes. Every team in this age group has great players but who has the elite. HP and SCP are top eight every year in the “fixed gthl” rankings. How many of those players on HP and SCP become top/elite anywhere else in the league?

The problem with 2009 Alliance is you can not gain elite level game play, you are play teams that are top end AA not AAA level
