Well ... hearing through the grapevine that there will be changes on the Sharks team, so not so sure of 'domination' there. Eagles as always will keep their team intact ... so with that Eagles will again keep rolling along.

Ya it's unfortunate (but not surprising) that the GTHL can't take it's collective 'head out of its a$$' and realize that there are too many AA teams and not enough single A teams. At least merge some of the teams over from the MHL A division like what has happened in younger age groups.

It must be especially frustrating for the parents and the kids who simply want to stay in A hockey ... with the lack of spots/options available.
I'd say it's very frustrating. Or the fact there are so few A spots available, very good argument to be made some kids would have an easier time finding a spot in AA with a bottom team. That doesn't make any sense. Even before merging with MHL why not move Aeros over at least? NT even. It's hurting the division as the years go on.
More west clubs should apply for a 2010 A team for the 25/26 season… I’m sure the G would strongly consider due to the lack of competition.
Nope. Teams already issued and I know for a fact G turned down a team last year. Again they said no new teams next season either. Maybe 25/26....as kids quit hockey lol
Crickets…
Since you know for a fact. lol
What team applied and was turned down from the G ?
Why would anyone like about that? Maybe the guy doesn't want to share any details.

It's true that the G hasn't granted any new teams U11 and up I believe, this season and for next, that's not a secret.
Umm… some age groups yes the G has granted new teams for the upcoming 24/25 season.

I think all would agree this division has the least amount of teams.

Not share any details… What’s the big secret ? Lol

Everyone agrees 7 teams is too few but the G isn't willing to change that.

Show me any age group that has been granted new teams this season or next season other than U10 or U11? What would be the point in sharing that info here? It didn't happen, what I will say is that a non "A" team approached a couple of G orgs that were without 2010 A teams. The orgs were more than willing, but the G said no new teams. Once again that will be the case for the 24/25 season.

24/25 Season will have 15 less teams than this season did, 2 less AA and 13 less A.

U13 A East has 4 new teams coming next season.

I did hear Lorne Park tried to take Royals or Humberview this season and move to the G with their current group, but were denied.

As for the division next season:

- Eagles 1-2 changes max

- Sharks - 5-6 changes, lots of cuts

- Attack - major changes including new coach, 10+ kids moving on to AA

- Avs - Making a lot of cuts, I believe 6 spots. AA kids coming down.

- Rangers - New coach. 3/4 team leaving. Will be a select team

- Panthers - Depends how many select kids they can round up / convince to join a team that hasn't won a game in 2 seasons. Let's hope they can put together a competetive group.

East has 2 new teams for U13 A, a second Leaside team and Willowdale. How that happened i'd love to know. U12 A west had 6 teams this year. lol It's all broken.

Anyway no new west teams which is crap.

- Why would the Sharks be making cuts? Some kids moving to AA there.
- Are you sure Attack has a new coach?

By the sound of next year moving over to the East looks to be a good option if you live somewhat central. At least you get more teams, next year looks more dire than this year with weaker teams and the Eagles getting better.

Kind of hoping Eagles lose kids to AA to make loop more competitive. I heard they may lose a couple.
Nope, getting more kids from AA
Fantastic. Make loop more imbalanced.

Good for the eagles to stay on top, but sure does seem like the loop might not be a strong next season on the whole. Probably too early to tell but trending that way.

Why would the Eagles change much? Great coaches, parent group and kids. 90% of the team is going to high school together next year. It is unfortunate the the G won't add more teams or fold in the MHL teams for this age group
