Well the players better be stronger because the coaching won’t be.
Ouch! That sounds personal
You sound like he cut your kid. Anyway, yes they've made big upgrades. I was surprised. They'll be a good team next year. Very early prediction and basically guess;

1. Eagles
2. Lightning
3. Sharks
4. Avs
5. Attack
6. Rangers
7. Panthers
nope ... not at all ... kid has never played there. But over time you see a pattern and we are all part of one big hockey 'family' and we all have different experiences and hear of different experiences.
Ok weird take them to single out one guy, did you not get his coaching position? Anyway, it's not AA it's A. Looks like they'll be more than fine with the players they're adding.
And that right there is why things won't change in the GTHL or youth hockey for that matter. Who cares ... it's only A hockey. It's great that people steep up and volunteer to coach. But shouldn't there be some review by the organizations after the season or a number of seasons. Guess not ... nothing to see here folks ... move along.
You think the West Mall coach is the reason things aren't better? I meant he is bringing decent players from AA to A, they'll be good A players. Why are you picking on one guy? From what I've heard he's a good guy, has coached for years. So the last few seasons haven't seen success in terms of wins. THAT is the problem, if you want to go there let's go there. The problem is people focussing on results. How many players from his team have moved on to stronger teams and improved their play? That's what I want to know, and I know for a fact several have over the years.

Not every org or team is going to be run perfectly, west mall certainly isn't. But geez this is such weird negativity towards one coach from you, and solely basing it on win lose record you clearly don't have any about development.

West mall is a joke. Coaching and all. Let’s not sugar coat it. It smells and it smells bad.
Thanks for who ever wrote the words of inspiration but the reality is Westmall is a bad heartburn. Let it be it’s garbage. Let’s move on to better convos

I wrote it and I agree mostly, they aren't a good org. Point here was attacking one coach, obviously with a personal vendetta.

Anyway! Eagles with a 4-1 win open the finals over FH. Eagles in 4.

How the Rangers team looking? Did they pick up any AA drop downs?

Attack beat the Avs in the final of the Aeros tournament in dramatic fashion yesterday, taking the game in a shootout. Attack lead most of the game until the Avs battled back to score 2 and tie it late. Attack goalie stood on his head in the OT saving the game and again in the shootout. Credit to the Avs for a fantastic game with an even better atmosphere. Honestly no idea how that team finished in 5th as they were always a great game which seemed to be an even split with us. Especially nice for the Attack after their heartbreaking loss in the league semis, and very sentimental with the team disbanding next season.

I'm just one parents but from my POV there wasn't much between the top 5 teams this season aside form the Eagles. This is what it should be like, close games, great competition and freindly rivalries, no BS between the teams. I've seen a lot of bad with my older son over the years, and the U14 A West division is definetely an outlier. So much respect between teams, coaches and parents.

Congrats to all on a fantastic season, and good luck to the Eagles in making the West the best.

Team has blown up - handful of kids went to AA Panthers and others dispursing around the A loop.

Also, a few players and goalies (one of them is with the Panthers "AA") have gone on to other "AA" teams and what the previous post said, the rest around the A loop. No one wanted to stay after the team had blown up. The new coach has offered a bunch of spots to Select Players. It's basically a rebuild, again!

So who finishes higher next season, Rangers or Panthers?

Well said. I think this is spot on, the division is full of sportsmanship and good competition. Lots of changes next season hopefully that vibe remains. I'm skeptical we'll have as balanced competition but we'll see. Think you'll see a very big divide between the bottom 3 and top 3 with 4th place somewhere in between, but less balance than we saw.
