Nepean team is AA!!! Not sure why they're allowed in
Did they need major improvements?
They got smoked to G teams last season. Did well in league play.

Overall the West is far stronger than the East. In a series of exhibition games a couple weeks ago Avalanche beat the Aeros 5-0. Eagles easily beat West Hill and Aeros.

Top teams in the West all stronger than the East - Eagles, Avalanche, Humber Valley, both Rangers teams. Any East team would rank lower than those 5.

West Hill & Forrest Hill strongest east teams while North Toronto and Aeros rank right below.

Brian Steele tournament should be interesting...

Not sure Humber Valley is as strong as they were last season, or VR but generally agree. Brian Steele will be interesting but also its a preseason tourney so wouldn't get carried away. 14 teams which is awesome, though some pretty weak teams I think are there as well.

Tournameng begins tonight with a couple games.

Sharks vs George Bell - any idea about the GB team? I heard Sharks lost to Avalanche in an exhibition last week.

Waxers vs North Toronto - NT tops in the East last year. Waxers a bit of an unknown, but according to MyHockeyRankings were in the top 25 so this should be a good game.

Waxers I saw play in spring tourney and looked good for what that's worth.

Waxers 3 NT 2
GB 2 HVS 2

Wow, both surprising results. Figured NT would win albeit close. Figured GB would be one of the weaker teams but that's a fantastic result against a really good team. Unless Sharks got worse? That's essentialy a select team who made the jump to A.

Is that GB team the Attack from last year? or a new team?

Made jump from select, not the Attack

Nepean will win the tournament. I saw them first hand last year in the North York Knights tournament, they’re a AA team, massive group of kids. Shame

Waxers look to be a cut above everyone, but lots of parity in this tourney it seems.
