I don't think West Hill has the power to get anyone suspended...

And didn't West Hill play a few games without their best player (suspended, presumably by the GTHL not the SYB), as well as one of their stronger D (the player injured from a head shot)?

What am I missing here? Or it just sour grapes?

WH was the better team tonight...3 crossbars and SYB goalie made several big stops. SYB couldn’t muster much offence.

Congrats to the Bruins on a well played season, 1st in the regular season and making it to the East semis after failing to do so last year. If they can keep that core together im sure they will contend again next season. Good luck to WH and EE in the East final I'm sure it will be another great series
Congrats to WH for getting our top defensemen suspended for finishing his check on a puck watcher.
Hockey is a team sport.
There is absolutely No i in T.E.A.M
Simply a matter of being out coached.
WH taught SYB a very noble lesson.

WH just took the momentum from game one.
WH Will bring the same energy plus much much more on the next game to get the job done. On Fire !!!
even the sun shines on a dogs ass some days.
you just poked the bear.
prepare to get pummelled.
This didn’t age well

You're not missing anything here. Definitely sour grapes. Most of the parents are good supporters of their kids playing hockey, but you'll always get the vocal minority of demeaning / whiny keyboard warriors. It's inevitable and best to just avoid

Watched the game as a parent of a kid who's team was already eliminated and had some friends playing. I have to say the atmosphere in that arena was just electric. Great support and enthusiasm from both parent groups. You love to see it! WH deserved every bit of that win. SYB had some good pushes in the 2nd period and 1st OT, but WH was the better team last night. Both goalies were great. Officiating wasn't great, but nothing extraordinary (that headshot call on the small kid who threw a beautiful hit was...umm... disappointing).

The parents and kids on SYB just follow the coaches lead. Will be interesting to see if the SYB coach is suspended for his part in starting a physical altercation with the WH coach after the game. Not surprising that he would go out with no class. Will be interesting if they can rebuild the team with all of their top kids leaving.

Should be a good final between the 2 best teams in the East.

WH kid was suspended DURING the game by the REFEREE for a play DURING the game. Not behind the scenes by escalating a LiveBarn video, turning a normal penalty into a suspension.

Yes, this is a team sport and missing one player is only missing one player. But this series was decided by 1 goal and having your top D-man sidelined is typically the difference between either scoring one more goal, or preventing one more goal. And that 1 goal turned out to be the difference maker.

Play stupid games, win stupid prize.

It was a penalty plain and simple. If it wasn't he would have been playing.

Face it, your "stacked" team couldn't get the job done. Enjoy sitting in the stands.
