I haven't seen some of the middle teams yet, so it would be difficult to rate them or make a guess. So I would be forced to make assumptions based on just results in some cases.

I would think teams that currently have no wins are going to struggle to make the playoffs. That is not really a reach, obviously. I think that the top 3 are somewhat established however surprises do happen sometimes (like Terriers beating North Stars last night).

Panthers seem to be the favourite for 4th

5-8 is hard to guess right now, but if you want a guess:

Eagles
Terriers
Wolverines
Toros

For the Rest:
Jets (a better team than people gave them credit for, I think)
Beast (I think their record will improve)
Streetsville (Good looking coach with a great attitude)
Caps
Sharks
Lightning

How teams trend over the season will also affect this and some of the spots could change (slightly). But, based on how things look today, the above is my guess. It's not a thorough evaluation as I have yet to see some teams. So, there is a lot based on results here which can sometimes be misleading over a short period. I do think some of the weaker teams aren't as weak as some people thought they would be. The levels between the teams overall are compressed compared to the previous season. This is a good thing as taking a night off is not an option for most teams.

Bring on the trolls...

Still early to predict as most teams are running short benches due to flus going around. The Beast is definitely the eye opener of the season so far. No one would have expected 5 straight losses. If they lose to the Sharks tonight then its game over for them.

Yep, any given Sunday. I hope they can get a win soon to get the monkey off their backs. What a hard way to start.

I actually watched the game last night....they are not the same team as last year or what they brought out at the summer tournaments. The Sharks are not any better and it could have been anyone's game. I cant see them moving up past the bottom 5.

I wouldn't bank on being 1st just yet. Caps are fighting off flus with their players, but then again most teams are right now
