If at the end of the regular schedule, more than two Teams are tied for first place or the last playoff position, the Teams will play a single-game elimination tournament to determine which Team will be awarded first place or the last playoff position. A coin toss will determine which Team will get a “bye” from the first game and will play the winner of an extra game between the other two remaining Teams. If more than two Teams tie for the last two playoff positions (similarly, if more than three Teams tie for the last three playoff positions, etc.), then the tie-breaking formulas set forth below shall be used to determine all of the positions that are higher than the last playoff position and a playoff game or games in accordance with this paragraph (b) shall be used to determine the final playoff position. In all of these cases, a coin toss will be used to determine the home team for each game.

(c) When two Teams are tied for a playoff position at the completion of a balanced schedule:

(i) the Team with the most wins shall be awarded the higher position.
(ii) if still tied after (i) above, the Team having the most wins against the other shall be awarded the higher position.
(iii) if still tied after (i) and (ii) above, utilizing all games of the regular season schedule, divide the total goals for by the total number of goals (for and against), with the Team having the highest percentage being awarded the higher position.
Looks like there could be 3+ teams for the final two spots... and u13AA West is unbalanced schedule. So,

"(f) When more than two Teams are tied for a playoff position at the completion of an unbalanced schedule:

(i) if the tied Teams have played an equal number of games against each other during the regular schedule, then the Team with the most wins in games between the tied Teams shall be awarded the highest position.
(ii) if still tied after (i) above, utilizing all games of the regular season schedule between the tied Teams, divide the total goals for by the total number of goals (for and against), with the Team having the highest percentage being awarded the highest position."
Because its a tie for the final playoff spot (8th place) teams will have to play elimination games among the tied teams. The above you mentioned is for only breaking ties between 2nd to 7th place. Any tie for 1st or 8th place is one game play down winner takes the spot.
It's VR's to loose.
VR may have a chance now that DD are unfortunately down a player. They are average at best and may be upset by any team during first round.

Playoffs are around the corner and time will tell but I wouldn’t count VR out.

With skates happening are there any players or goalies good enough to make the jump to AAA?

So to clarify. Both teams have AAA caliber kids. None of the teams have won a legitimate tournament like Silverstick though? And these kids have AAA commitments already or you assume they will get them?

VR & DD both have 1 or 2 players that could possibly play on Titans or Majors or some other bottom feeder AAA team but not on a top 6 team not even close. Problem is what do these kids do next year? The AA loop is such a joke, the bottom half of AAA is an ever bigger joke... 100% DD could beat AAA MM, Titans, RW.

There are some bad AAA goalies who will be replaced by omha AAA goalies. AA is so slow how can anyone judge who would be a good goalie? Vaughan was a top team last year and their goalie went AAA and got destroyed.

Already know of several AA kids with AAA spots for next year... mostly on bottom 4 teams but a couple going to mid-pack. Understandably some teams sizing up for hitting, smaller 3rd liners on weak AAA teams are better off on strong AA teams anyway.
