Who wins and what do you predict the score will be?
TRW VS NATS Nats 5-2
MR VS NYR Nyr 6-0
REPS VS VK VK 8-3
TT VS NATS Nats 7-0
TM VS SENS tm 7-2
NYR VS REPS 3-3
DMF VS JRC Jrc 8-2
VK VS MM VK 7-3
TT VS DMF dmf 4-2
i'd say that's fairly accurate. give or take a goal here or there.
I would disagree since this isn't tyke hockey anymore
Don't know if some of you have played high level hockey before but it becomes a tighter game as the years go on
I would expect some of the scoring to settle down a bit (i.e. VK/Reps 4-2, NYR/MR 3-1, TM/Sens 3-0, JRC/DMF 4-1, etc...
The score gap is mainly attributed to the huge gap in players between the top 3 and the rest. The 2011 year was really screwed over by Hockey Canada half ice meddling and then by COVID. There just aren't enough AAA players to fill 12 teams. So now you have this situation where VK/JRC/TM will blow everyone else out because VK/JRC/TM actually have enough players to fill 2 to 2.5 AAA lines and only a handful of hanger ons (twins on VK, AS on JRC, etc.). The rest of the teams, however, have barely 1 AAA line and rest of the players are usually not even top AA players. So unfortunately you will still be seeing these blow outs for a few more years. I agree things will eventually plateau out but from what i've seen so far of this age group it won't be this year. Maybe next year with hitting to reset some things.
VK/JRC/TM
** 3 goal gap **
NATS/NYR
** 3 goal gap **
REPS/TRW/SENS
** 3 goal gap **
EBS/DMF/MM
** 3 goal gap **
TT
I understand and agree with both posters.
I will only add that there is now a larger gap between the top 6 teams TM,VK,JRC,NYR,RHC and TYN and remaining teams unlike previous years
Those 4,5 and 6 teams will compete better against the top 3 then they did in the past (AAA vs AA caliber players)
However, only time will tell.

Are you retarded? Hockey Canada and COVID has nothing to do with why there is a gap between the top teams and the bottom teams. The G essentially uses a draft system. The best players go to the big clubs. The weakest players to the weak clubs. The top teams are elite, the bottom teams approach AA strength. This has been the same for decades. Older age groups have the same dynamic, and younger age groups have the same dynamic. OMHA leagues are tighter competition because they are mostly based on geography resulting in more average teams. There is no way a top player is going to play for Markham Majors when they have the choice to play for a team. Are you dumb?

while your delivery is a bit crass, I do agree with your analysis. Top kids will generally not play for bottom 4 teams. With that being said, you will have top kids on mid pack teams as opposed to a top team. The reason being, it does not make sense to play on a cut- throat team where ice time may be harder to come by. Athletes need to feel good about themselves! It is much more advantageous to be a Big fish in a small pond than vice versa. Better for development and better for a good mind set.

I think you need to re-evaluate what you know about sports....it will come clear in the next few months.
What is the definition of a AAA player?
A lot of these posters or posers have never played a decent level of hockey.

Talk to me in 3-4 years. Elite now forgotten tomorrow, completely off the radar and elite when it matters.

Most of us can agree with you but the dramas just too much fun. So take your sensible bullcrap and stay off of this site
