Re: 2011 GTHL EAST AA
For those that think size means everything, so far it looks like skills and smarts can hold their own. With playoffs being still 5 months away, is it easier for kids to catch up in sizes or smarts? There's just no way for people who are genetically dumb, coaches and players alike, to learn to be smart. So when the small but skilled and smart kids catch up on size, those teams that rely on size alone will be in for a rude awakening.MI parent trying to rationalize why they are a top team. MI won't be bullied by NYKs lol. They are a soft team also so stop you're senseless rambling. FH has trouble with big physical teams, you can see it against TRT/NYK and they have too many small kids that are afraid of getting hit on top of their glaring D issues. It will be tough for them to compete in the playoffs once teams shorten their benches. They need to do the same if they want to win.

I’m sure your wife has been telling you “SIZE” Doesn’t matter, for years.

I would not take your rant to the G. Or maybe share the rest of your story so others don't make the same mistake.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 10:34 am Gery Othmann , you are a piece of shit of a human being!

Buddy you sound insane,Guest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 11:43 pmEnough of this stupid SYB talk, sorry your ankle burner wasn't good enough to get any ice, that's why there are 20+ other AA teams. Let's get back to what matters.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 6:27 pmQuestion then…. So if people ( parents) have gone to the SYB organization about this guys out of control antics. The organization have asked to hear from other parents on the team about stuff they have seen & witnessed.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 3:46 pmYour frustration is understandable, especially when you perceive a double standard between how bullying is handled among kids versus adults in leadership roles. The emotional weight of your comment shows that this situation deeply concerns you, likely because it affects not only the players but also the broader team dynamic.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 3:03 pmHe’s a bully…..SYB manger & assistant coach’s and scared of him. They have been his puppets for a few years now.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 2:32 pmGuest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 2:27 pm
Too bad the SIB parents couldn’t use common sense & actually see what this A-hole is doing. Obviously, the organization doesn’t give a shit!
As long as they have a team and their bank account is full, they don’t care what happened to these kids……Don’t tell me the Organization cares because they’re the guys that hire this moron every year . I so wish someone warned me about this guy.
We are paying the most money in the GTHL AA loop, to a man that does nothing but crush the kids confidence…He repeatedly beats these kids down with his racist verbal diarrhea at both practices & games.
The G has zero tolerance for kids bullying kids, but they’re OK with coaches bullying kids-managers-parents officials other coaches …I just don’t get it!
1. Leadership Dynamics and Accountability
You highlight that others in leadership roles (managers and assistant coaches) may feel intimidated by the head coach. If true, this creates a power imbalance that can stifle open communication and foster a toxic environment. This is a valid concern and one that should be addressed by the organization.
2. Perceived Double Standards
Your point about the GTHL's anti-bullying stance not extending to coaches is a powerful one. If you feel there’s inconsistency in applying these standards, it’s worth raising this with the league in a constructive, documented manner. Policies should apply universally, and this could prompt a review of how adult behavior is monitored and addressed.
3. Taking Constructive Steps
Rather than focusing solely on what’s wrong, consider actionable steps:
Document incidents: Specific examples of the coach’s alleged behavior will be far more impactful than general observations.
Engage other parents: Collective concerns hold more weight and signal to the organization that this is a systemic issue, not an isolated complaint.
Request a review: Approach the GTHL or a neutral third party for mediation. Their zero-tolerance stance on bullying might extend to situations involving adults if sufficient evidence is presented.
4. Focus on Advocacy for the Kids
Your ultimate goal appears to be protecting the well-being of the players and ensuring a positive environment. Keeping this as your focus will make it easier to channel your frustration into effective action.
This is a serious matter, and addressing it through proper channels will likely yield better results than venting online. Constructive advocacy can help bring about the change you’re seeking while preserving the integrity of the team and the league.
After multiple conversations with parents. T
North Toronto tying Ted Reeve and almost winning it with five seconds left. Ted Reeve's forwards are strong, but their D got exposed by NT's speed.
NYK also tied FH. FH is soft, only a couple D want to hit so NYK's top line just bullied FH when on the ice, if NYK can just stay out of the box, they look poised to make another run when the lines are shortened come playoff time.
Updated Rankings:
1) MI
2) NYK
3) TRT
4) FH
5) SYB
6) NT
7) EE
8) SIR
Tomorrow's Games:
SIR plays EE, this one could be ugly, hopefully scores are not settled and cooler heads prevail. EE 3-0
MI plays NYK on the big Thornhill ice, MI's speed will be too much for NYK and they won't be bullied like FH. MI 5-2
TRT plays SYB, TRT's size will wear out SYB, exposing their swiss cheese D. TRT 4-2
Take it easy, this is only AA hockey.
Re: 2011 GTHL EAST AA
My biggest question would be. If this guy is as toxic as everybody says he is. WHY does SYB hire him every year.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 10:26 amOhhhh boy-Someone seems pissed!

He is a paid coach right?
So maybe the blame has to be on the SYB organization for hiring this lunatic .
If he’s been disciplined over the years, time after time, for multiple altercations.
Why would any body want that kinda employee?
