step in the tiebreaker only seeds one team, that team assumes that position. The three-team tiebreaker
will continue to determine the seeding of the two remaining teams. At no time will teams using this
formula go back to the two-team tiebreaker.

B1 If three (3) teams or more are tied, the point record established in the games AMONG THE TIED
TEAMS ONLY will be used as the first tie breaking formula in deciding which team(s) shall advance.

B2 The team(s) with the most wins would gain the highest position.

B3 If the teams are still tied after B2 has been applied, then the team with the best goal average gains
the highest position. The goal average of a team is to be determined in the following manner:
Total number of goals for divided by the total number of goals (for and against).
NOTE: ALL round robin games of just the segment the tie occurred in are included. Results from a
previous round-robin do not carry through into the new round-robin (as an example no result from the
first round carries into the second round).
Example: For = 10 goals
Against = 4 goals
Percentage: 10/(10+4) = .714
NOTE: The higher percentage (1.0 being the highest attainable) gains the higher position. The exercise of
B3 establishes the team or teams with the highest position(s) by percentage. These teams will advance.
If there are still teams tied, they go to the next step. They do not go back to the Two-Team Tiebreaker.
EXAMPLE:
1) Team A - .714 = 1 seed – Advances
Team B - .500 = 3 seed – Does not advance
Team C - .650 = 2 seed – Advances
2) Team A - .714 = 1 seed – Advances
Team B - .500 = Still tied with Team C (go to next step B3)
Team C - .500 = Still tied with Team B (go to next step B3)
3) Team A - .650 = Still tied with Team B (go to next step B3)
Team B - .650 = Still tied with Team A (go to next step B3)
Team C - .500 = Does not advance

B4 If teams are still tied after B1, B2 and B3, the team with the fewest goals against (all round robin
games played) will gain the highest position.

B5 If teams are still tied after B1, B2, B3 and B4 the team with the most goals for (all round robin games
played) will gain the highest position.

B6 If teams are still tied after B1, B2, B3, B4 and B5 have been applied, the team to qualify would be the
team that received the least number of penalties minutes throughout all round-robin games. The
following time allotments would be regulated for GTHL tie-breakers:
• Game Misconducts are worth ten (10) minutes
• Misconducts are worth ten (10) minutes
• Match penalties are worth fifteen (15) minutes
• Gross misconducts are worth fifteen (15) minutes

B7 If the teams are still tied after B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 and B6 have been applied, a coin toss shall
determine the winner. In a three-team coin toss, the odd team gains the highest position.

I think it means if there are two heads, one tail, then the tail wins.

This outcome can't happen where just 3 are tied. You have to add in NYK because they'd remain at 7points as well.

In which case it would be TRT coming out on top of that Tiebreak.

TRT - 4
SYB - 3
MI - 3
NYK - 2

But of that 2 advance. So I assume it would be TRT is 3rd and goes to Wins next, which would be a tie there, so the better GF AVERAGE between SYB and MI I presume would get the 4th and final spot. But please don't quote me, but it's how I read it.

If I interpreted the tiebreaker correctly. And I'm by no means totally confident.

Looking at SYB and MI current GF Avg. being:

SYB = .600
MI = .429

But I really don't see a scenerio where NYK doesn't get points off TRT and/or MI. In which case SYB looks to be in good shape. Because it will be a 2-way tie for SYB with either TRT or MI. And TRT they have the head to head, and with MI, they have a good edge right now with GF Avg which would be the tiebreak to decide it. MI will know their target goal spread by the time the Saturday game roles around. Because SYB/EE and TRT/NYK are both Friday night. SYB needs to avoid a blowout loss and they are in good shape to advance. EE still has 1st place to play for, so I don't think they'll be taking it easy on the Bruins. And they know FH will be getting a full 2pts against NT.

Best of Luck to all - exciting ending to the Round Robin. Very Competitive loop producing great hockey!

NYK never won against TRT during the season. And TRT must win tonight to have any hope of advancing. If TRT cannot put up a good fight tonight, they don't deserve to move on anyway, just like SIR.

Regular season records mean nothing in the playoffs. TRT did what they needed to stay alive. NYK need 1 against MI point to advance.

Looks like East semi’s start on Tuesday, West games already up for Monday.

Oh Man. Ted Reeve has fallen victim to the Atom Pathway system yet again. Which is where Regular Season means Nothing.
There were zero rewards for doing well during the season.

Next year at least they'll get a bye to the 2nd round before they lose at that stage.

SIR too - they regressed as the season went.

Well done NYK and SYB. Sub .500 seasons, but you stepped up when it counted. Man would TRT trade for a losing regular season to be in the Final Four right now.

TRT have fallen victim to nothing except their own incompetence. They are not able to adapt to playoff hockey period. Teams make adjustments and figure each others tendencies. TRT play the same style with the same old plays that everyone knows. Coaches are too old school and play 80s hockey. There is no real development and it shows.
