Sounds like the old coach not happy he got “fired”. Maybe a disgruntled COW parent not happy his kid is getting cut?!?!

for the record old coach got suspended by the OMHA for a year for calling them out on the bullsh1t they tried to pull this year.
he was not fired!! took that team from a bottom feeder in the last 2 years to a 7-5-1 record before he got suspended.
was a complete different team with out him. we tried to get him to come coach in WW next year but he's still suspended.

Ahhh so you're leaving COW to go to WW. Sorry that happened to your coach. judging by your post perhaps you're the goalie dad who's leaving.. maybe replacing JL at WW since he's calling around looking for a team??

But I guess that’s what you get when you hire oshawa. Mostly kids from North shore and Quinte. Better strategy would be appeal to top three teams coaches so players show up for tryouts.

You definitely don't know what you are talking about. GM is from Quinte 2011 who runs successful Spitfires program and dominant QRD team. She brought in a good non-parent coach - 2011 Oshawa guy who is legit. They scouted and definitely appealed to coaches from top teams and even players themselves but no takers. The problem is that despite slick marketing BOB got a bad rap last year for cost...bad GMs/coaches...sketchy selections...extra $$$ for skates/tourneys...and weekly format...So this year BOB brought price down (a bit at least)...changed format...different legit GM / coach (for East anyway) - both from good programs...legit selections approached based on extensive scouting...but, damage was done. You should have told them you'd play.

Last years team was way better hands down
It’s mainly cost…GM did better at recruiting last year as more people are up for it when it’s the first year
I was on the team last year and extra tourneys were not mandatory or part of the program. $2200 is steep and if you’re not from the area the GM is holding the practices that are given then it’s a lot of driving and a big time commitment
