Early Bird Tournament game results all over the place! I guess things could be tight in the regular season:

That's the #2 Leaside team that came up from Select. I don't think this team roster is representative without the OG TRT and LF teams or NYK and ARD.

It was the OG TRT team there as I hear it. Would love to know what happened in the 1-0 SIR-TRT game, SIR goalie stand on head?

Good results for LF #2, if nothing else they appear to be competitive early against established A teams.

Tournament Stats:

Round Robin GF GA +/- GAA GFA Record
LFG 6 8 -2 2.67 2.00 2-1-0
NT 5 4 1 1.33 1.67 1-1-1
SIR 2 9 -7 3.00 0.67 0-3-0
TRT 10 2 8 0.67 3.33 2-0-1

2nd Year in a row that SIR went winless in the Round Robin and knocked out the top team in the Semi Final, then lost in the Final. A good Goalie can periodically steal a game, but not a recipe for long term success.

Anyone know what the other 7 teams were up to? Any Early Birds?

Did anyone watch the ARD-VP game yesterday at Sports Village?
ARD won 10-1 if I counted right

According to MyHockeyRankings it was Leaside Gold, so it's OG Leaside.

Ted Reeve AE, Islanders and Duffield all in the Newmarket early bird this weekend. Based on the quality of teams in this tournament I don't see any of them having much success. Not a result of them not having improved, but top Ontario teams all in it. Have heard both Islanders and Duffield have improved quite a bit.
