Based on the quality of teams in this tournament I don't see any of them having much success. Not a result of them not having improved, but top Ontario teams all in it. Have heard both Islanders and Duffield have improved quite a bit.
Ted Reeve AE will do well in tournament and the upcoming season.
Pump the brakes a bit. The select teams moved up are going to have a tough time. That’s fine, they’ll be better for the experience and a year better next year.

I still find it weird, these second TRT and LF teams are forever going to be feeder teams right, the goal would be to move up to the OG A association teams? Not trying to be insulting about it, but that’s how it is? Everyone on TRTB and LFG on some level wants to be on the other team next year.

Drop the ego. The gap between good select teams and A hockey is really not much. Clearly way less then A to AA. Those two new teams will do just fine and won’t want to switch teams or move to the OG versions. Kids will normally stop playing or get tired of the commitment needed for rep hockey moving forward and many will drop down levels just to play for fun. Good on the G for adding more competition to the division.

There is no #1 or #2 LF team. The notion of one being the feeder to the other is wrong.

Disagree. Not that the gap is huge from good select to A, but it's bigger then A to AA imo. AA to AAA is the big one.

Drop the Ego AA Dad, Top 4-5 A Teams could handle the bottom AA Teams. The only gap is going to AAA. Most (not all) A and AA kids are interchangeable.

At Select, yes there are good kids who could be interchangeable with A but you will find Select kids who simply dont know the game yet and have to develop a lot of the Basics that A and AA kids can do. You put an A kid on a AA team and they may struggle with pace of play, aggressiveness, etc but they will know the fundamentals of positioning, transitioning, puck movement. That cant be said for a lot of Select kids moving up to A. Again, its a generalization. I believe the Select teams that are moving up have all that.

There are some decent individually skilled kids. Lots of coaching up will need to be done to get them to play a proper team game. Coaches seem up for it. Second half of the season will be really telling either way.
