2012 GTHL AA West
Re: 2012 GTHL AA West
It's frustrating to hear complaints about hockey, ice time, and equipment when so many kids are struggling just to survive. There are families living in overcrowded apartments, going to bed hungry, and lacking basic necessities, yet here we are, focusing on the privileges of sports. Priorities should be about meeting essential needs first.

I'm not saying we should go back to how things were, but this woke culture is getting way out of hand. You chirp someone now, and you’re facing a 10 game suspension? You give a warning, and that’s it, game over. I’m all for inclusivity and some of the changes they’ve made, but it feels like it’s gone too far. It’s like they’re trying to run the game like Justin Trudeau’s running the country, too soft and too many rules. We need balance, not this over the top, overly sensitive approach. We are not doing the kids any favours with this.
You were probably so proud of this 'masterpiece'. One problem...you're a skid

Back in my day, people knew who the hockey stud was, didn’t have to rock a AAA jacket or drop “I play for this team” every five minutes. You could just tell by the way I moved. Comes from being in an athletic family, it’s in the genes, fam. I’m not out here advertising for the team like they’re paying me. Honestly, it’s not about them, it’s about me, my grind, and where I’m headed. And trust me, I’m a physical specimen. I’m the one bringing the fans to the rink, not the team.

A big surprise Beast being shutout as TR is having a bad year looking at the East standings. It definitely does not look like the same team. But it looks good on the obnoxious Beast parentsGuest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 9:05 amlol. TR isn't even a top team in east loop. but we all know if BEASTS had won, parents would be talking smack about how great they are to beat up U12 east champions not realizing its not even the same team.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 8:58 amLooks like that luck has run out as well. Won a weak division then held scoreless in semi.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 11:22 pmWell since ft actually lost to mt we can surmise that a mb parent wrote that comment. Enjoy the wins v average teams in Georgina.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 11:04 pmOoooooooh burnGuest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 10:48 pmyou know you're legit mid when you start comparing yourself to MT. since when did MT become the gold standard in the loop?Guest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 9:03 pm Funny both of those "average" teams are still making MT look bad.

When I was 12, back in the 80’s, we didn’t need nannies. The only thing I needed at 12 was a bowl of cereal and a good attitude about riding my bike to hockey practice with my gear slung over my shoulder. A nanny? Pfft. I was a latchkey kid before I could even spell it, by the age of three, I was locking up the house, making my own lunch, and probably negotiating with the dog for control of the TV remote. Kids today can’t even pour their own cereal without a team of assistants. I had to bake my own Pop-Tarts before I could even think about figuring out how to be a teenager!
