Okay Dad... Everyone is tired of you continuing to self promote your kid on this site. We played against JRC and CL wasn't even top 3 on his team. He was continuously getting knocked off the puck.
He has more talent, thats a fact. Not even my kid. Saying they are brining in 4 kids that are better than him is the BS.
CL daddy sees the end is in sight so he desperately promotes his kid on here. Everyone can see MA is CLEARLY the best JRC forward and CL is not even close to CM. CL fading fast.

CL will be paying to watch CM and MA play hockey one day.
U14 is going to be a rude awakening for many. It’s going to be a physically challenging game for a lot of kids in this age group. Not just because of size. Speed, compete, strength, etc. some so called stars are just not going to want to play anymore. Some of you dads reposting the same names over and over aren’t watching what’s happening already…
Sensational

Will TM be able to beat the Sens tomorrow Sens looked great against VK
VK may have some issues because they have small wimpy kids and the big D are slow. Sens on the other hand are big and tenacious, I think it depends on how the Sens goalie plays and if they get some goals early. Let's see what happens.

I don't think that's what it is. I think it's because it was a VK tryout for some of their better kids. Enjoy it when your kid is still on the sens next year and you fall further then 9th place next year. I thought you were all about big over there in sens land??

CL won’t even be top 3 on JRC next season with the players going to jrc top 5 probably
Who is going there that is better? There is a reason he is the star player for Everest against the best of the best. Even when CM is on the same team, CL consistently has more points and is the first line centre at every tournament… hates gonna hate. Best player on the best team.

A lot of dads in hockey are just stupid. A lot don’t understand the laws of physics or the game. Just because a player is big, doesn’t mean he’s going to destroy smaller faster kids. Smaller and faster kids have an advantage in that they can generate a lot of momentum vs bigger slower players for hitting and have better agility to both catch and hit and get out of hits. Lots of big players that will do well but don’t discount kids because of their size

Most of the game is along the boards with no space and time to build momentum. Do you not watch hockey or just a huge fan of rockem sockem Don Cherry highlights?

Picking a coach is really important many factors go into it. Does he have loyalty issues with any families? Does he get paid by them? Is he running private skates with anyone one group or kid? Was he given a mandate by a rich family to deliver for them and their kid? Does he have good communication? Does he have a background that demonstrates success? What are his goals and objectives? Where does he see your kid in the lineup and what plans does he have for your kid? What style of play does he encourage? Will that style of play suit your kids style of play? Does he encourage a little creativity? Does he yell and bench kids for mistakes made or does he teach and coach them? What third parties will the coach bring in to add to the development?
Is he an offensive coach or defensive coach? Will that be good for your player? Where does he expect the team to be in the standings? Will he bring in more kids months later and flood the bench with players and upset the existing parent group? Will he commit to his signings? Where will the tournaments be and when? Will they give parents input on it? Remember Parents you are paying for this hockey experience you need to start demanding better from these coaches or else it gets out of hand as we are now experiencing throughout the league. Every Team has issues and problems and it's an emotional rollercoaster with ups and downs during the season. Be smart and collect the data.

I think you are way off. There are 12 teams, so call it 192 ish players that get the privilege to play in this league .

There are only a handful of players parents that have any bargaining power because of how talented their kid is. The coaches are mostly qualified, especially at this age group. I have kids +cousins at multiple age groups and levels and the 2012 age group has by far deepest pool of top end coaches and skills trainers.

There is never a perfect scenario, but the most important part of this hockey experience is finding a coach that your kid will learn from and be motivated to work hard and build the mentality of an athlete.

Are they good to the kids? Do they show up on time? do they put an effort into teaching them hockey in a fun but hard working environment? Are they encouraging? These are the questions that matter.

You can tell a lot by a coach in how the kids react when they see them at the rink, are they excited to see him or are they scared?
Everyone expects coaches to be perfect people, but this is a low paying job, with a lot of stress and responsibility. No matter what decision they make, atleast half the team thinks their kid is getting screwed and will come on a forum to bad mouth them.
