Not the full BoB east team, maybe like 5 players from the actual team.

Yes CT have a great program. Tonnes of skill development. We have a bunch of loonies that play 150 games a year and wonder why their son has not gotten much faster.

Canadian coaching and development is 2nd tier compared to the US programs now. We have a bunch of frauds that we line up to give $ too.

I have seen 4-5 new coaches run a practice/ skill sessions this summer and my god, half of them can barely shoot harder than my kid.
The market is over saturated with” skill less” skills coaches. The fat ones who plays junior B for 5 games and charge $200 an hour are the best!

It isn’t coaching or skill. It’s parents. None of the parents from CT think little guy is better than he is. None of them leave where they are to go chase a jersey. It’s commitment to building a program. US hockey is way stronger because of commitment from all players and parents to one specific coach and program. Winter and spring they are together

Ask the parents. They do a tonne of skill development, fitness testing and leverage technology to help develop the kids. In Ontario we have coaches that go through the motions, run the same flow drills all year and effectively just stand behind the bench screaming when the kids make mistakes.

CT has far more skill in regards to skating and shooting + a dynamic system that all the kids understand

Playing spring and winter together would give teams an edge. The gap will narrow in the next couple of years as GTHL tryouts moved tryouts back to spring - fall tryouts (Hockey Canada losers half ice, participation ribbons, woke bs) Not allowed up all of our boys.
Spring hockey is essentially pointless after peewee, strength and conditioning are what matters in off season when contact starts. Don’t panic if your kid is going to play any level above minor hockey it’s a long road with lots of ups and downs.
