2012 GTHL EAST AA
Re: 2012 GTHL EAST AA
For sure. They develop faster and the training is more intense. Big gap.
The extra A just doesn’t matter though right now. U14 you will see it all change.

Sometimes surprise comes from players side.Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 3:23 pm Really? Verbal not good enough? What teams are known to do that?

AA tryouts are scheduled for all of this week. 2 or 3 tryout dates for each team.Guest wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 9:16 amTry outs all done?
Re: 2012 GTHL EAST AA
What are some opinions on specialization in hockey at this age? Studies seem to say specialization shouldn’t happen until age 13 or 14 but I know a lot of 10/11 year olds who don’t want to do anything but hockey, my son included, and a lot of teams skate year round. The average age of specialization amongst NHL players is 14. I know there are exceptions but I also worry that focusing mainly on hockey at this age will be detrimental to his developmental in later years. Does anyone have any personal anecdotal “evidence” to the contrary?

absolutely true. hockey starts at puberty. everything will be sorted then.Guest wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 7:56 am AA AAA doesn’t matter at this age.
Re: 2012 GTHL EAST AA
I'd say AAA does matter. The gap between AA and A is much smaller. I heard DMM got spanked by select kids last week in a 4 on 4 spring hockey game last week.
Re: 2012 GTHL EAST AA
So how do you tell your kid that no matter what you do at the A tryouts next week it, doesn’t matter because the team has already been made prior with all these other skates that apparently have been going on since mid January?
