Guest wrote: Mon Apr 22, 2024 12:55 pm My kid better make a team this year, or it’s time to hang up the skates. Been trying to make aaa for a couple years and no dice, looks like it’s rigged to only select the kids from wealthy families who can sponsor the team and pay for the extra team expenses. Oh ya, don’t forget about the coaches gift at Christmas and end of the year. Here you go coach you want a gift? How about meet me in the parking lot and I’ll give you something.
This is not true at all. If your kid is good enough they will make a team at this age. Coaches are scrambling to find good kids.
I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT!
There would be spots on the bottom AAA teams if your kid is good enough. Just hope the development is good as neither team will win 5 games, so it will be a long season.

Do the majors or reps have any chance to upgrade next season?
Can’t say anything about Majors, but it seems like Reps will be same. Don’t understand what’s wrong with Reps. Kids are not of the top level, but feels like they can do better than that, their coach seems to be a nice guy when outside the ice. They’re Milton imports are more or less ok. Why do they underperform so badly?
I'm sure if you pay anyone 10 grand they'll be nice to you
1-2 kids can’t carry a whole team. They have lots of dead weight.

Does anyone know of any agency that could help with the fees or if they would waive the fees to a low income family?

The kid with the long hair is the only player that can skate and score last season. They also had a decent big goalie. Both these kids are likely long gone. Any good AA talent might try to break in here and if their parents are committed to development they could level up over summer. But it’s true a team needs more than a couple players. Especially some good defense for these teams.

Omha or AA. To compete in the G the 10k is just the starting point. All the real ones know to tack on another 10k for year round development, couple K for spring/summer.

Don’t forget cost of tournaments, equipment (don’t want the cheap skates & sticks), team jackets & other merchandise and some teams have summer camps too!

The reps 2015 scorer is staying. Big goalie gone to VK
