so what? A lot can change in 1 year in the lives of 9/10 year olds. They all are catching up to each other.
Judging by the way the Americans totally humiliated PH in the final this weekend Ontario kids aren’t even close to catching up. They could have scored 10 or 12 if the coach didn’t call off the dogs. AND THAT WASN’T EVEN A BRICK TEAM

Never mind just Minny. The skill set on the US players is much higher as a group. You can really see the difference in coaching/ development of players. They move the puck and it is just run and gun from our teams. One kid tries to go end to end and loses the puck, then another does it. It is not real hockey as mom and dad are telling little johnny that he needs to be the star!

100% agreed, but the monopoly on the brick teams is what drives this. If they just held a tournament of teams in the age group and the team that got to the final got to go to brick, you would have a bunch of players learning how to WIN. But right now its all about finding individuals. So thats what you get - players who want to play as individuals.

Definitely was not the same group of players on the prime team then.

I find that hard to believe since many of them were in Montreal 2 weeks ago.

Their top 5-6 skaters were there at the very least. Either way it’s not even a brick team and those kids don’t even practice together 😮
