The D that left was barely on the team and left because they couldn't cut it in AA, went to A, no real loss. More ice time for the the core players and you know who.
One goalie left because dmf had no plan B and needed someone. EE still has the best goalie in the AA loop.

The subtractions made EE stronger.
After this weekend it’s clear that non only is EE the best team, they might be the best AA team in the country. Gonna suck for the rest of the loop.
were they the "The Ruff Riders" in the CCT tourney?
Yes. They beat NYR, which isn't that special. But they also beat the Quinte AAA team. That is something.
a AA team beating a AAA team in one game is pretty crazy. Winning a tourney with AAA teams..wow.
They're gonna win every league game this year by 5+ goals. Would be curious to understand the reasons for their core to not play AAA. Maybe cost?

TR, SYB, MI, leaside and maybe WH all looking pretty strong, there should be some good games for sure. There are some weak teams in the East loop like there is every year in u10, it will get sorted out in the next few years, probably need some teams moving to A. There is only one AAA team on the east side, they can't take everyone. The East used to have very few kids but has exploded over the last decade, we really need another AAA team and more arenas. Joining a AAA team and travelling to Vaugh, Missausagga and Brampton after school multiple times a week for games/practice just isn't a sane option for most parents especially with the Ontario line going in and portlands being developed, 15 hours weekly in a car driving to hockey...no thank you. Especially when you consider this in 9 year old hockey and AAA will be there for years to come.
The better the teams in the loop the more it will push other teams to step up their game.

TR and MI are nowhere close to EE. WH is becoming the laughing stock of the league.

EE have top tier coaching, best in the loop. Saw a tryout skate. Ruff Riders were in finals in another spring tournament. HC knows how to win

EE will be tough pressed, the SYB might not start but by seasons end will be a top team no doubt. They by far are the best coached team in this loop.

Last year EE went 29-3, this year's EE goes 32-0. Take it to the bank.

Judging by how they won this weekend, they will go 32-0 by winning every game 2-1 and 3-1. Gotta wonder if EE parents see this and that it’s bad for player development for their kid to not lose a single game because they play a stifling defensive system.

EE parents are very happy, thank you! Winning is winning, even if my kid doesn’t play as much as the top player s.

At the Niagara tournament SYB had a couple really good, strong, big kids. With their coaching who else besides EE could beat them.

From what I’m hearing, just about every team has a couple very good players. I don’t think SYB stands out in that way. TRT and TA both have some higher end talent as well.
