Nobody cares about spring hockey. Go play , enjoy , have fun but the real hockey starts in September at the Marlies early bird.
Knowing who is where for U11 and simply an on paper list i have to give it to DMF/NATS
JRC/TM are going to struggle a bit with their goalies and lack of scoring, to which i think the above 2 teams will be able to score at will.
VK/TT will have some good games against each other, however, i am not convinced they keep up with the top 4 teams. The rest of the league will all compete as well keeping the league closer than normal outside of the top 4.

REAL HOCKEY starts in about 3 years, but let’s keep pretending playing 12 months a year and committing our entire existence to 10 year old hockey somehow makes you elite.
[/quote]
On paper and real life 2 very different things. Year round players will be burnt out and hate their existence soon enough. Look for the kids playing rep lacrosse soccer football during off season who will be some of the top kids in the years to come.

I agree, all these people with elite 10 year olds walking around like they’re a superior race because their grade 4 excels at a sport is laughable. Even better are the ones who treat others poorly because their kid isn’t an end to end hero. Let’s revisit all of these superstars in a couple years. The brick kids will get elite training this year and I wish them all well! This is an exciting time for them. Realistically they will have moved on by August, but still cool nonetheless the less. Let’s refrain from trashing kids, they are just little and are being lead by their parents, they don’t deserve to be trashed online.

This.

Remember, The Brick isn't everything .. it is the ONLY thing when it comes to minor hockey. Too bad to those that can't experience it.

I just met the head of scouting for an OJHL team and I was telling him how my kid is in u11 aaa and I told him that it’s a Brick year for the kids so a big year. And it took him a minute before he said “oh that tournament in Edmonton? Oh that’s fun for the littles I guess.” He then laughed at the cost. Ya it doesn’t matter

Re: 2015 AAA
When you’re in it it’s the most important thing in the world. As someone who is out of it I’ll tell you your child’s happiness and childhood are far more important than any hockey team or tournament. None of this matters. They’re 9/10 years old.Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 3:41 pmI just met the head of scouting for an OJHL team and I was telling him how my kid is in u11 aaa and I told him that it’s a Brick year for the kids so a big year. Re: 2015 AAA
Enough of the back and forth about brick , here is the reality of it coming from a parent who's 2012 went and 2015 is not going.
If you are on a brick team you are caught up in it all and it's nothing more than a cool experience for the kids and that's what being a kid is all about. If you are not in it because you didn't make it or don't care for it , so be it. The fact of the matter is that it's nothing more than a cool experience.
My 2012 was a top kid back in U10/U11 and guess what today he's not , so did going to the brick help him? No it was just a cool experience. Will going to the brick guarantee you become this pipe dream of a hockey player , no it won't (sorry to break it to you).
Let's look at a kid who got drafted 1st overall to the O and is about to go top 2 on the NHL. Schaffer , didn't play brick , didn't play AAA until he was 12 , yet here he is.
Relax people, the brick kid vs not brick kid means nothing. They change day in and day out. So the kid who is not playing brick or on the ice everyday, or maybe playing AA right now is the one who will be left standing , that's how this goes 85% of the time.
Good night and please enough with the brick vs non brick stuff.

First of all the best forward playing in 2015 is SR. Second the best forward in 2015 is playing with the 2014s. Nice try BP parent.Guest wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 10:04 amDMF and the Nats have made some changes that will keep them in the top 5. Nats have the best F in the league JRC wont sruggle one bit, they have the best 2 D around and brick goalie. TM will have a entire brick team that should be also in the top 3Guest wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 9:29 amREAL HOCKEY starts in about 3 years, but let’s keep pretending playing 12 months a year and committing our entire existence to 10 year old hockey somehow makes you elite.Guest wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 9:09 am Nobody cares about spring hockey.
