NYR and NATS are loaded with imports. OHF is cracking down in the organizations to avoid giving releases to make up for lost revenues at the younger ages. Players waiting to show up to the last try out or not show up at all will get buried in AA.
How do people know what OHF is doing and hat they are cracking down to avoid releases. People on these forums just write what they want people to hear.
if you actually know what you are talking about you would know the team with the most imports are the Marlies. They use their HP program to get around this. Bottom line none of this import shit matters, parents know what they are doing, the OHF is not stupid and as long as your paperwork is done right you are in.

You must be a parent who got cut from multiple teams and replaced by an "import" , go play AA where they still teach you how to pivot you duster
If the import shit doesn't matter, why do the rules exist? You sound like either a coach that has fraudulently recruited kids or a parent that is committing a fraud. And before you accuse me of being a bitter cut we are committed and have been for a while. Just one of those increasingly rare people that think that cheating is wrong.
More than half the kids who play AAA in the G are from other areas. It's worse than doping in the tour de france. Right or wrong, it is what it is and if you're not beating this rule, you're not trying.

Address Change request at an all-time high in the month of March. Good luck to those banking on the circumvention of the rules. Like every other year, some get the green light, and some have to go back to their home centers. Back up plans are highly encouraged this year more than in past years. OHF under a lot of pressure from the sanctioned organizations. You know, the organizations that pay fees to be part of the governing body that doesn't govern.
The sanctioned organizations are in both OMHA and GTHL. Would they rather lose a kid to the G or to Klevr? Think they would rather keep a kid in HC programing then have them to go an outside league.

Not possible if parents know the rules.

After third tryout they must sign player or provide them with a waiver to allow them to go elsewhere. They can only hold you up if you as a parent trust the coach and believe your son or daughter will ultimately make the team. They can’t hold you without signing you after 3rd tryout in the OMHA anyways.

If your kid is good, the home centre knows about him. They can offer you a card to sign, but if you choose not to sign, they can choose not to release you. Playing with fire, especially if your kid is good, because they know who you are by now.

happens every year going into the minor Atom year. parents think they know better, only to find out it's not so easy. They get cold feet a week or two before tryouts, and end up playing for their home center. history always repeats itself with a fresh crop of new parents that assume everything.

Because there are always parents that are bent out of shape that their kids were cut for imports, and they make noise until they are heard.
You can't make this $hit up.
