Simple maths. You buy a team for 75k, then bring in a bored pensioner or a young hockey drop out, who couldn’t make it to pros and decided to try himself as a coach. That will be free or next to it. Then you find 17 kids that won’t be too difficult either. And charge them modest 12-15k each. 204-75=129, spend half of 129 on ice, add compulsory fund raisers and you end up with 65-70k.
Does not answer the question. Why does Markham have two teams when the Waxers continue to struggle.
My kid is not on impacted but they have an ex-NHL coach on at every age group this year. Big push.. we’ll see how it works out.

They would be in for a rough ride if that's the case. Top MD teams in the area are from North Durham & Whitby. None of the York Simcoe teams are remotely close.
Highly doubt YSE will be comparable to WW or Northshore. Barrie will be solid as well.
Maybe for the baby hockey years! Once U-14 happens, YSE and BC will be the top teams in ETA. Book it!

Why would Hyman buy the Waxers? And what is the theory behind YSE being a top team by u14? Is that cause all the other kids leave for the G?

Listen up Boyz. Don’t book nothing. Be smart. Sure if you take a bit of juice here and there and are getting close to pushing 350 keep trying. Can’t grow a goatee. Can’t help you there. Rock some Dance beats and chill. It ain’t nothing.

YSE will become a top team by U-14 because they have an affiliation with SAC, and history always repeats itself.... kinda like WW losing their top players to the G at the older ages.

Not true, Markham Waxers kids have also attended SAC, your kid doesn’t have to play for YSE

Who said you have to play for YSE to go to SAC? Anyone can go. The point is that YSE and SAC have a close relationship and a lot of kids from SAC end up at YSE as they start to get older.
