NS Tier 1 coach is expected to take his team to the Red Wings. Parents thinking of moving to Toronto already. Better to start planning ahead. Few kids planning to stay YSE. So the 2016 YSE will likely not be majority T1 saints.
I think SOME T1 saints will follow AC to the Toronto Red Wings, but the vast majority of players on his current roster are not Toronto living. So, I do think the odd one will put the effort into following him - but not ALL. So there will still be some T1 players, plus their T2 team has multiple kids that could play T1 hockey.

But then yes, you have probably a handful of Cobras, a handful of Toronto Stars/Raiders and Aces. Fill in the gaps with the top handful of MD kids, and you've still got a great team.
Why aren't the T2 kids playing tier 1 if they could be?

You would have to ask each of the kids families. But, the ones I am aware of really liked the coach, and appreciated the development they got from the team the previous year.

plus, I am sure travel comes into play. playing for a band new team in your last year prior to U10 is also dicey. That's why we didn't leave, who knows what the environment and coach is like?

hmm. I guess I could see that. Especially if you aren't top5 on a T1 team.

My kids like bottom 5 on a T2 team lol... but yes, if my kid were in that situation I would very likely take the top5 role on a T2 team if I believed in the development he was getting vs being bottom5 on a T1 team.

bigger role, more puck touches. I think some people can't keep the ego out of it, and assume T1 is better. But in our org, our T1 team was run like a shitshow. T2 we are at least having fun. to each their own.

There are discussions on parents moving. Why not make a big splash

Parents are considering move options to potentially play for Redwings. Keep the core together like all the other teams. YK, Aces, Raiders, Cobras, Wings, Mustangs. Make it special. Why lose an advantage when you have a chance to do something special and also move into the city.

You don't have to move, but you do have to change your address.
