Why would anyone want to play U18 in Burlington. The 2007s are coming Armed with their drama and problems. Coach will be gone unless he evolves into a puppet.

Which coach? Didn't the president fire the current coach mid-year and put in a puppet? Did the puppet play the prez kid enough?

U18 coach is the puppet of CL. I am sure the prez will grease the wheel.

If players have left BE for other clubs, which ones have they switched to? Why did they leave in the first place?

A significant portion of the BE 2009's jumped ship at the end of last season. I think by the time the dust settled there was something like 5 skaters and one goalie left. They all scattered to different organizations. NN Stars, Halton Hurricanes & Huskies mostly. I can only speak for our decision to leave. Although our son had no issues with the head coach, it seemed there was some that did have issues with some of the staff. Originally we had no intention in leaving and never thought about trying out for another team. However after they began leaving in droves, my kid was hesitant to stay when all his friends and the basically the top players on the team were leaving. We saw that it was unlikely that BE was going to be able to dress a serious competitive AAA team since all the top players in the SCTA were moving to one of the top 3...NN, OR, HH...or heading to the GTHL. This meant that the development/training could be limited to the overall skill level of the team, as the remaining players available might be imports that lost their spot, or AA callups. So when approached by one of the top 3 teams we took the opportunity and have never looked back.

My son thoroughly enjoying his time with his new team, he has found his place and fits in perfectly as an integral part of the team. He has grown in his skills and as a person more in this 2/3's of a season than he has at any point in the BE organization. He has seen opportunities and played in some of the highest level competitions (Tournaments etc.) available for this age group. Events that BE would never even consider entering because they would stand a chance. Although these tournaments may not have always gone in our favor the experience gained and knowledge earned have been irreplaceable.

As heartbreaking as it was to leave, and believe me it was hard to make that final call, we stand by our decision to leave and my son is happier for it.

"Why did they leave in the first place?" Kids were sick of losing every year and jumped ship at their first opportunity with open borders.

Dad, are you losing your mind? “were moving to one of the top 3...NN, OR, HH...or heading to the GTHL.” or just dumb?

Read slower. He said “the top players in the SCTA” were moving to the G. Not that BE kids we’re moving.
