So the story goes yes. He left BE for the Mississauga Terriers AA team. And yes gramps was an entitled d!ck head who trapped many kids in BE land by blocking releases.
Mississauga Sens......... so yes he got a release to pay AAA hockey outside of Burlington.

So he left to likely be the 6th dman on a team that finished 10th in a 12 team league. Yes I looked it up. That shows you just how little he thinks of BE when he leaves us for a bottom feeder in Toronto.
I can not believe this is honestly true. They will allow teams with 6-9 imports and allow the presidents kid (lets be honest he still runs things) to walk out of the organization but block all releases.

Just reading about this stuff now and it is pretty shocking-disappointing- disgraceful.
If you have a kid in the 2009 age group it's even more disgraceful
I agree....the 2009 Age group is a disgrace, and if the BE organization pulled their head out of their asses long enough to see it they would see how humiliating it actually is. There is no talent....The assistant coach is an arrogant prick who too busy kissing the head coaches ass...and that supposed "top talent" paid head coach is a righteous pompous ass who lives off the glory of past success'. He could not even keep whatever talent he did have from escaping the BE black hole in the mass exodus of spring 2022. Now with the borders closed the org has to stomp out any chance of releases or else he wouldn't have a team left. If the former presidents grandkid leaving for a bottom feeder 'G' team isn't enough proof of how broken the BE org is then 09's are a perfect example.

Not sure the term rent free applies when people are just pissed off at watching their time and money go down the toilet.
I would not say the coach had any past success or call him a top talent either unless you count his two seasons with the Streetsville Derby’s and 18 games in the OHL where he collected 3 assists. What a legend
I guess this is what it comes down to. So sad.

They bring in an NLT provider and they say who coaches should take 🤪 they need imports cause the NLT providers and coaches can’t develop these kids it’s very sad

The statement is wrong 08 AA Gold OMHA Champs 2 seasons ago and OMHA semi-finals last year. This years team is absolutely stacked. I understand people are not happy with this organization, however there are a few teams that will compete. So sit back enjoy the upcoming season.

How many imports on those teams? I think their point was that BE doesn’t develop its best players and relies on imports.
Sadly competing at the OMHA level doesn’t mean much any more either as there were OMHA finalists and champions this year who were not even top 15 in the province. Shows just how bad the quality of hockey had been. Hamilton coming into the league will improve that a little bit next year at the AAA level.

I think the point these guys are making is that the older BE teams (2007 and below) are the last semi decent quality teams that BE has managed to put on the ice. Regardless if they had imports or not. Even if they made it to the Red Hats and competed they are far from a top AAA team in the province.
The politics and BS behind the organization that is in place now has resulted in lackluster development of kids who entered the system when they were novice. And it is starting to show as they get older. It should come as no surprise that any Burlington born talent has jumped ship. By the time they hit the age of 12 these kids have already been on the losing end of underperforming teams for 6 years. Even at that age any true elite athlete is craving better coaching, better development and better opportunities. the BE org. has hung these kids out to dry and the end result that is showing now..is 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 etc. are kids who do not have the same skills as other AAA teams. The Eagles organization needs a complete tear down and rebuild. They should be stripped from being a AAA centre by the OMHA and bumped down to AA until they begin to develop AAA players again.

Don't worry they will start over again when the Prez checks out. He is only invested in his talentless son and ensuring he has a spot. When that kid moves onto whatever new spot Prez Dad buys him a new Prez will be required.

People said that about the last prez JT and all they did was replace one corrupt old crypt keeper with another

On a AA team? None.
