Is everyone hiring an advisor/consultant? Whatever they’re called? I’m hearing of some paying upwards of $10K? Who are the reputable and affordable ones in Toronto? Would like to weigh options.

Looking for some advise also. I realize advisors get paid and agents don't. You can not use an agent if your son ends up going the US college route. Are there any dual purpose agents/advisors? Can you use an agent until the OHL route doesn't work out and flip to an advisor later if needed? Just curious.

I understand…
If you hire an agent you are NCAA ineligible.
You must hire an advisor I understand.
Research the advisor sites, their position focus, and success history. With all the number of good players, the nepotism and other crap in hockey, if your kid is decent for college - hire someone around U15. They’ll direct you efficiently to tryouts/combines. There are also USA drafts you can enter on your own on the league sites. USA junior hockey does not disqualify you from NCAA. They are not considered professional leagues like the OHL.
Corrections most welcome!
