Remember this is all about the kids. The long days, late nights..the drives, hotel stays… the sweat, the tears, wins, losses, ..friendships..memories.. If our kids are lucky, they’ll come out of this with life long friends. It’s not about you. It’s never been about you so please stop taking up our time with your petty complaints. This forum is about hockey, stop the drama.

These are all good kids, playing good hockey. take the parents out of it and all the kids would be friends. Stop messing with that.

I would think an emotional wellness, management and resilience pro would agree with that comment…the need to teach our children manners and respect of others. It’s always nice to be in the fold though!

Got absolutely destroyed by Marlies and the Midfairfield team…

We beat Whitby 4-2 settle down with incredible it’s not their brick team

Great idea...now all that has to happen is letting about 40 -50 sets of parents know their kid is not on the team....of course that is after a total non parent, non affiliated coaching staff is brought in to make independent decisions without the parental sucking up (and "favors"...thanks Mom!) and alleged money exchange(s) taking place......and that is even before the PP units are determined......that will all take place in some fantasy land of the future

Let me know when this all comes together because I want to take that Monday off work so I don't have to hear the crying/whining and/or boasting of parents

I'm not concerned at all about any whining or boasting. I'm concerned with Alliance teams being able to compete. At least half the league isn't a true AAA player. There wasn't a single Alliance team that made the quarters at the silverstick tournament. It's not that we don't have talent it's that we don't have the depth. Either open the borders or cut the league from 11 teams to 6.

Nothing to do with open boarders. Everything to do with too many teams for the total population. LJK and EMC merge; Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge merge. Figure out some other amalgamations and get the AA kids playing where they should. Only way to field competitive teams.

Problem is too many dads will be embarrassed when their kid isn’t AAA anymore

Have I seen the Midfairfield team…duh I watched them destroy us. They also got beat by JRC 4-2…oooooh the mighty Midfairfield team are so special Two Ontario teams in the final! Our bench staff had nothing, zero answers. Embarrassing, the LJK organization needs to stop bringing in these these ego maniac coaches thinking they are better than they are. We wasted a weekend, every family spent a couple of thousand for what to watch the kids cry and get embarrassed.
