Yes!!!Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 6:56 amHopefully brick is a fun experience for the kids with minimal harassment from adults. Hopefully people can just live their life and we can support each other, or mind own business. Brick? Nice! No brick? Nice! Scored a bunch of goals at brick? Excellent. Doesn’t? Also excellent. Who cares, Be nice.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 9:47 pmOf course they are calling you. They are calling and emailing me as well but we decided not to go this time around. They are calling not only you and I but everyone on their list.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 10:07 amLH and ML/GL have been calling me for the last month to attend their camps. I didn't go to TBD and wont be at PH's either. This just goes to show you that you don't need to go to these camps to be on these teams.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 10:16 pm2-3 kids max will be outside the kids that are at every camp and clinic. If you have the money and are decent you will make the Brick. By no means are all the best kids playing Brick.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 9:38 pmLH will pick the best kids, runs a great development practice, and actually has some hockey knowledge. I think our 15s will fair well this year. I see a championship coming back to TO.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 8:19 pm
Not true from my experience. Kids made our team that never tried out and or skates once with the company
I declined to play for either of their teams this past spring/summer as well. Yet here we are they are still calling me, so the joke is on all you parents who think you have to do everything with these two organizations. IF your kid is good he's good its that simple.
See you all at the 2025 brick![]()
Re: Brick 2025
I know I'm going to get laughed at for this but I figured this forum knows more than me about hockey.
I drove a long way to be at the pro hockey camp this week and just 2 days in it feels like the biggest scam going. Kids here are sub par at best , even the so called 'elite' kids don't look that great. Many parents I talk too say their kids are playing AA.
I'm assuming this camp really has nothing to do with what the final team will look like?

Re: Brick 2025
Not your fault, nobody warned you. Most of the Brick team is already selected. They might pick 1 or 2 from the camp if they are dominant and better than existing players. However, your kid would have to be noticeably better to take a spot from a kid that has been with them for 1 or 2 Spring/Summer programs. When I saw the FB post, I did some research and realized it was a huge cash grab. They promote the 1 kid that made the team after being in camp with a testimonial on how great it was.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 11:08 am I know I'm going to get laughed at for this but I figured this forum knows more than me about hockey.

Re: Brick 2025
TBH there is not a single kid here that looks 'elite' and the ones who can actually skate have no intensity in them at all. I think the light bulb went off when I realized LH from pro hockey is not even here.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 12:45 pmNot your fault, nobody warned you. Please share your world class minor hockey credentials with the group. Just another random fat slob dad with an opinion who has become the leading expert on youth hockey. Re: Brick 2025
This is their promotional tour, just build the brand. The teams are picked. The really good kids who are attending are doing so at no charge. All the rest have known crazy parents, who are being used.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 12:52 pmTBH there is not a single kid here that looks 'elite' and the ones who can actually skate have no intensity in them at all. Posted 8 minutes after the tryout? So you’re typing from the change-room? Troll job… keep watching from LiveBarnGuest wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 11:08 am I know I'm going to get laughed at for this but I figured this forum knows more than me about hockey.

Re: Brick 2025
Kids picked are kids they know from the regular season. Not necessarily the best kids but just that they know them from earlier years coming to their camps and playing on their spring teams. If you want to make Pro Hockey you gotta start the camps a few years in advance unless your kid is much better and blows them away. Plus you can’t really tell how good a kid is skating around pylons. Most kids can kill pylons but are lost in game situations. Have no clue what they are doing and just don’t know what to be doing in a game. So if you have not joined their camps year prior to Brick and have not played on their Spring team, save your money. You can probably find better development opportunities elsewhere. Same is true for TBD. You’re better off going to the TE camp instead where you will find more skilled kids and better training.

This is logical. Same as AAA tryouts. You know the playersGuest wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 4:33 pm Kids picked are kids they know from the regular season. They do tryouts to make money and promote their brand.
