Central Ontario Wolves: Dissolving
Central Ontario Wolves: Dissolving
Looks like COW is dissolving next year. Where do you think these kids will end up?
Re: Central Ontario Wolves: Dissolving
The next closest AAA centre to their address. I'm sure OMHA will look at the borders and evaluate which centre they belong to.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 1:13 pm Looks like COW is dissolving next year. Where do you think these kids will end up?
Re: Central Ontario Wolves: Dissolving
Lots of kids who play for COW are actually closer to other centres, especially in the south. Silly borders.
Re: Central Ontario Wolves: Dissolving
No chance RH comes back. If anything one more team will dissolve and will have 10 teams each in East & West
Re: Central Ontario Wolves: Dissolving
Oshawa and Clarington are merging to make a 10 team eastGuest wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 4:40 pm No chance RH comes back. If anything one more team will dissolve and will have 10 teams each in East & West
Re: Central Ontario Wolves: Dissolving
No they are getting OMHA down to 10 competitive teams. COW out, Oshawa and Clarington are mergingGuest wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 4:03 pm So if COW is out, maybe Richmond Hill is back in?
Re: Central Ontario Wolves: Dissolving
Hopefully Kingston is added? Its run like a GD circus with two clowns running it!
Re: Central Ontario Wolves: Dissolving
And lots of kids who play for COW are an hour from any other team which means there will be a drop in COW centre players going elsewhere.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 4:19 pm Lots of kids who play for COW are actually closer to other centres, especially in the south. Silly borders.
Add to that the hometown hockey approaches of a number of centres and it means some good players will be shut out of hockey they are well suited to play.
Huge step backwards.
Better step would have been to merge COW with Ptbo or .................. another centre so those players still have a home centre.

More to come
Potential merger of NCP AND Barrie. Strong rumour of Waxers being dissolved and South Central Zone coming back.
OMHA trying to compete with the G and make league better. Less teams means better hockey.
There’s a lot of AA players playing AAA at the bottom of the OMHA. AAA is supposed to be elite of the elite and this will help get there
