Their pay increase demands are ridiculous and out of touch. 3% would be the highest, yet they are going for much more, and some sections asking for a 13% bump before the yearly increments!! INSANITY!!
Back to work for ALL of them!! Take that off the table immediately. The only possibility is to reduce their pay working from home. LOTS would take that!

Agree, there is no need for remote working. But the reality is, there are some municipal and provincial ministries wit people still working remotely, City of Toronto is one of them. Until all government workers are back in the workplace, I think they have a legit bargaining chip.
No they have no bargaining chip, they are the top level of government and the one everyone else is looking to. They set the bar. The ONLY way working from home becomes a thing is if their pay reduces. Even then, supervision is lost. The pool of candidates goes international over night, and the supply of workers will FAR greater than demand. MUCH lower pay will be needed. Careful for what you wish for.
The only person on this thread wishing for anything related to this matter is YOU! The rest of us are just waiting for it to end.
These POS bums can all quit. Even their own ranks are separating and fighting each other!! Many have jobs that require them to be physically at work, and they do not care for having "remote work" on the table. They actually want others previously at work, back at work. Waiting for it to end? What services are you waiting on!! LOL
They want to stay at home so that they can save money, and they do it in these ways:
-no commute-but screw over public transit making it an unaffordable service for a city to provide-screw the poor and needy!
-no need for clothes, hair cuts, etc.-screw over small businesses who provided these services. We all see these bums walking around
-no need for day care-not really working as they're too busy taking care of their kids. I'ver literally listened to people doing this COMPLAIN about how hard they have it!!! OMG freaking god! Screwing the system by not really working. I had to train someone at my office, who then repeatedly has to call me-at the office-for questions about work, but all I hear is hear are her kids screaming in the background! She had the nerve to say she has a hard time separating work from home! That's because she "so called" works, from HOME!
-then the other stuff like clean their house, run errands, make dinner, cut their grass, do laundry etc. -not really working!
Hey expand the job pool "internationally" for these bums and see how fast their value plummets!! Heck they'll still demand for more those entitled brats!
