Exactly
This “coach” should stick to jr hockey- he doesnt belong in minor hockey. The problem is hes making 3x the money at emc. The board needs to rethink the salaries they pay.

The bench should not be shortened at this level. If the coach picked the team correctly they should be able to develop their players.

People whine for non parent coaches...paying less will not attract them

Why would someone spend 10-12 hrs a week with kids, that are not yours, for 7-8 months for $2500 (about $75 a week)?

Jr b coaches do it for 10000. Why is this clown making 25000?

Most coaches are not in this for the money.
There are those who use minor hockey to gain valuable experience as they move up - i think jw is the poster boy for this.
Then there are parent coaches and volunteers who do it because they truly love it.
Its Very dangerous when a minor hockey coach is only motivated by money. When you have a coach demanding an unprecedented salary for the job then it is clear their motivation is only money. This is the gthl model where you see ice time for sale.
Its open to corruption and not good for development.

"Most coaches are not in this for the money"

Is your time worth nothing?
Do you work for free?
Do you burn holidays to drive 4 hrs?
How about weekends...enjoy skipping something to be someplace else at 830 on Saturday night?

Every AAA coach expects to be compensated for their time...especially if they have no kids on the team...that is not a GTHL model that is life.

And for 99% of u18 players the development phase was 5-6 yrs earlier ...they are all playing u18 for a reason

The atom coaches are doing it all for 2000

The u18 kids are hoping to make a jr team- hard to do when theyre on the bench.

You obviously know nothing about this guy.
