There are rankings all over the place. Which one? Don’t get caught up. Ask your agent/advisorGuest wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 12:20 pm Could somebody Please explain,How the top ranked kids are ranked and “WHO “ is ranking them.??

I seriously don’t get some of these kids in the G with agents. Like, what’s the agent even doing? Organizing your hockey bag? Picking out your socks? Are they out here getting your skates sharpened while you’re out there ‘hustling’ on the ice? What do you think is gonna happen, kid agent’s gonna land you a spot in the NHL? When I was that age, it was just me and my mom hustling to the best teams in Toronto, no agents needed. Honestly, agents for these kids are just a waste of cash. They see these kids with stars in their eyes, thinking they're gonna make it to the big leagues, and they're like, ‘Oh, here comes my next sucker!’

My kid has an agent and plays in the O. Agent does all kinds of things. Right now he is talking to 2 different prep schools in the US that want to offer my kid a spot. He deals with Jr teams and will eventually talk to the OHL on our behalf to negotiate the education package among other things if we choose that route.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 9:54 pm I seriously don’t get some of these kids in the G with agents. He has sat down with our family multiple times to develop a 5 year plan after minor hockey.
Best decision I ever made. Don't let your ego handicap you in this process. Get an agent!

Do you have an advisor or an agent? We have a bunch of advisors contacting us but not an agent. I assume agents will reach out at some point if they are interested or should we be contacting them?Guest wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 7:29 amMy kid has an agent and plays in the O.
