Well once you sign your registration card, which you do freely, you are registered to that team for the season. I’m assuming everyone understands that. If at the end of the season you didn’t like that situation don’t re-sign. Move on.

Move on to what?!? The process of changing teams is in no way a simple process

You can't just move on at the end of a season. You're still required to register for the org where you reside. Then you can request the release. Teams have the right to deny an F1 request. The question though, is if you have a good player looking to play elsewhere, how can you deny? I mean you'd have a kid playing for you who doesn't want to be there......that is not ok in my books. These are just kids. Let them go where they want regardless how good or bad they are.

Not everyone plays in the G. Obviously it's not an issue there.

If you are outside the G is where players get screwed and stuck.

I expected my son to play AAA this year with the same team he's been on for the last 2 years. New coach came in real A-hole tied up players until the last day of AAA tryouts leaving them not where to go.

Issue 1 What can't you try out with multiple teams while you wait for a coach to make a decision? My Kid would have had an opportunity to try out for other teams if he was cut after the 2nd skate but was not allowed to skate with anyone else until he got released.

Once I he was released and There was no AAA option within an acceptable driving distance I had him skate with a few of the top 10 AA teams in Ontario who all wanted him on their roster

Issue 2 Since we are not in a LOR center my son is not allowed to play AA in the G. I am 5 mins west from a GTHL Center and and 8 mins north of a LOR center.

My home center is AA team that would struggle to beat most A centers.

They should have open borders and limit each center to 1 team at each level AAA, AA and A.

People want to play there because of the level of coaching and competition.

Yes but my center is not part of LOR.

We are not part of LOR. So he can play AAA in the G but not AA for some reason. They have import rules that should allow OMHA players to come in but only allow some OMHA centers. LOR should include all OMHA centers
