The rumour mill keeps on turning
Lots of rumours of a couple kids leaving for Toronto.
They should worry about making the Steel roster and coming together as a team instead of going to Toronto and getting cut or riding the pine.

Would be amazing to see a group of non parents take this team. Invest in some top notch coaches with zero relationship to current players.

You know that just ain't true. The top kids at every age level typically have standing offers for multiple teams (Toronto or otherwise) and would easily play in the top half of pretty much any team they choose. The Steel teams are already being made.....the top 8-10 on each team are set and the bottom 5-6 will be fighting it out for spots at the tryouts. The bottom half are the kids that need to worry about being cut - not the top players who have the luxury of choosing where they play. Sorry to burst your bubble, just a dose of hockey reality!

2011 dad here and I’m aware of the ho-hum season our team is having, I just have an issue with yahoo parents. I think the original quote referred to the 2013 players? Currently ranked 22nd in Ontario and have lost 5 games this season by 5 goals or more. That’s so bad it’s mind boggling and an embarrassment to the entire Huskies organization. If you think any kid on that team has “standing offers” from top Toronto teams or any other top org, you’re the one who needs a dose of hockey reality!

I don't think that anyone is referring to a team in particular. Just that every age group's top players have options that the bottom half dosen't have! That's all, that simple.

We don’t have a single Huskies age group ranked in the top 10 people. None of our teams have beaten any top Toronto teams this year either. It’s the same old story let’s face it. We need more talent across the board and the merger will bring that. I doubt the top 8-10 spots are made on teams already since we haven’t even skated together and if those spots are made through discussion only then it’s a stupid move. Be patient and let it come together the right way because both orgs are struggling across the board and bickering will ruin any chance to get better and that’s what we all need!

The original comment was referring to the 2013 stud playing a year up on the U11 2012 huskies team . Rumours have it that he is leaving when the organization amalgamates.
