Hillcrest 2008 A & AA

Post by Guest »

I know there’s a new coach in Hillcrest for the as and AA age group. Heard he’s got some good assistants that have come with him. Not sure what his exact plan is and I know they are a rebuilding organization

I know they are looking for all positions and I’ve contacted them inquiring about spots

His email is Tyler.gubler@rogers.com

If anyone is looking for a new spot to play or looking to jump to a different team, I can guarantee you they will be looking for skaters still

They have been rebinding since U10, good luck.

That is the truth! Have fun! Rebuilding for "U17" AA and A is hilarious! The ship has sailed... go play somewhere and focus on having a good time in a safe environment.

Hillcrest has been consistently one of the worst, if not the worst 2008 A team for the past 6 years.

They will be in the bottom 3 again next year, so just know this going in. Any new players will be cuts from other lower pack teams.

Good luck,

Good luck,
Love all these armchair parents. There are a lot of kids that just want to play hockey, not all of them are great and not all teams are great.

We'd all love to be on a top team, but that's not always possible. If the coach is a solid guy and will try to put the best team together and your kid has an opportunity to play, just do what's best for him. Don't listen to all the crackpots on here.

You are too kind. Ask anyone about which team in the 2008 A loop has been consistently the worst and HC will be on the top of the list.

If your kid is going to Hillcrest this year, maybe your kid shouldn't be playing A hockey

Don't flatter yourself...GTHL non-contact single A is not actually single A, it's the equivalent to AE and MD.

Maybe HC is.

Have you seen the top 6 teams in the west play? With MI in the East, it's another level of hockey. The rest of the west and east is a lower level.

Safe to assume that they would look similar to Markham Waxers BB and Barrie BB, both non-contact and ranked in top 10 on MHR.

Single A teams in the O play contact…which would be one level up from their non-contact BB/AE/MD teams.
