That's what when coaches rely on skills sessions and controlled scrimmage when assessing players.

Impossible to teach grit or compete. Either the kid is wired that way or he's not.

Major red flag - if the parents are chronic whiners then the kid will likely be soft.

Oh his kid and my kid are boft as s**t but we have to listen to their mothers who raised baby superstars. At the end of the day we can berate it into them I know it. My kid just needs more time and on ice opportunities to develop. He'll make friends eventually, the boys on the team are just mean to him. The dad's cool as s**t though we're good drinking buddies and I have control of the team, so no one better say anything or you'll see what they will get. Most of the parents are the ones whining about these two softies, I guess I should draw up a new drill on my bar napkin! Thanks for the advice super dad! ~ Coach

Hi all, Coach here! Miss me? Listen I'm a bit hungover and snow plow season is about to begin so I thought I'd provide a quick update. The local league team is rocking it, I mean these kids are garbage with the exception of mine but we already know that. This LL stuff is fantastic though, none of the parents give a shit and I can go 4 beers in before every game and no one gives a shit. It helps that most of the parents are 4 deep with me, so we make it work. I did have a bit of a disagreement with a ref where by i yelled and screamed, stormed off the ice and booted a water battle but other than that it's been golden. My bench staff is surrounded with some other buddies but the good news is they know this is my fkn show. I mean we've already had our party black out weekend and I can't even remember how the kids did at the tourny to be honest. Nor do i really care much, but I got to tag one of the other hockey moms while away. I hope my wife doesn't find out again, that can be a rough patch, but she's my no 1 fan. Being away is rough cause the boys at the bar get along without me, but hopefully we can draft up a couple new shooting drills while i'm gone. Anyways I heard Babcock is putting out some coaching 101 seminars soon, I can't wait to sign up. Until then, later losers!

Holy fawk boys my kid scored 4 times in his house league game last weekend, I think he's fkn ready there bud. What ya think?

Put my name in to coach the AAA team this year. My boys ready for the stage.

Don't listen to the other parents that will say i play him 75% of the time, fk them. I know my boy can go end to end all game long and popped 5! 5!!!!
