Aren’t they tier 1 or 2? How many 2016 tier 1 raiders will there be then? Strongest likely the original raiders under JD?
I think the Raiders are just bringing coaches that already have a core for AAA the next season. Rounding out the roster with tryouts. I don’t think they have any interest in mixing up teams at all.

Why are all these teams doing this dumb stuff? Its the same non-sense with the NS 2017's...

three teams that all want to call themselves T1. When really they should take the top 4 or 5 from each team and make a REAL T1. The EGOS in the hockey world are ridiculous.
They are different teams. Noone is mixing rosters. Last season there were 2 T1 teams for Raiders: Dynak (JRC) and Edwards (DMF). Other than both being called Raiders there was nothing meaningful shared other than I think a goalie for a game at a tournament when another was sick. Its not like they were going to merge those teams to build a super team. They are competitors at U10, using the KSL at U9 to build their roster, and prepare. This year there will be at least 2 T1 (maybe more if LP or VB end up T1) teams and each one is its own thing.

Both vaughan and Lorne Park are T2 teams.

Vaughan Blue is a true T2 team there are no Tier 1 players as they are building to perhaps be a solid AA team in U10 where as the Mississauga Raiders are a T2 team trying to build a core for Sens AAA in U10. you need to ask these questions to coaches an hope for honest answers. Development is key but a lot of teams should be using the u9 year to establish their cores for U10 AAA hence why not a lot of spots open in Tier 1

Interesting they have Sens. Do they have lot of Tier 1 players? Or maybe they will attract players for U10..

You realize how stupid this is right? EGO's is all its about. What kids can I ride the coattails of and get me a AAA coaching role.

Not just that, in the 2017s NS example, the "transplanted team" LOST to the existing NS 2017 team from last year. Which was middle of the pack the previous year.

If I am the owner of the team, I have the keys. Its their league that was folding, not KSL or Northern Saints. Tell the guy to kick rocks and play on another team if he doesn't want to be T2. The whole point of the league is BEST on BEST at T1, and development of the next best players in T2.

By spreading out all your talent in 2017 over three teams - THEY WILL ALL BE T2.

It’s getting a bit out of control. The Duffield Bulldogs coach expects his team to dominate

Core for AAA with some teams being Tier 2? How does that work?

If I am the owner of the team, I have the keys. Its their league that was folding, not KSL or Northern Saints. Tell the guy to kick rocks and play on another team if he doesn't want to be T2. The whole point of the league is BEST on BEST at T1, and development of the next best players in T2.

By spreading out all your talent in 2017 over three teams - THEY WILL ALL BE T2.
You cant go to one Tim Horton's franchise and say "give the one down the street all your doughnuts". This is the situation. The team name is the same, but each one is its own thing. To use the 2015s as an example again, each of the Raiders teams became a different AAA team (JRC and DMF). So you can't just take player A and move them to team B. They were never in the same pool of players, despite the team name. Dynak was busy building his squad at Humber Valley the year prior, and Edwards the same at Leaside. Being Raiders allowed them to compete in the KSL.

I have literally no skin in the game and can't comment whether this is good or bad for NS right now, but this is the model that was in place last year for the Raiders and served both teams incredibly well. The 2016s are doing the same thing, only this year they will do it with a couple T2 teams as well.

They looked like garbage compared to the existing Saints team.

The third team that came in with a full roster, refused to even play. Bunch of losers.
We played both Northern Saints teams last year (2015 T1/T2) and they were both pretty good. There were only 6 teams in Tier 1 Level 1 and 5 at level 2. Lots of players on Tier 2 teams could play at Tier 1, but they didn’t have depth as a team to compete with the Raiders/Kings. They will move the teams around, they can call themselves Tier 1 but could end up in the third bracket (Mustangs) or even fourth (GTA Aces / Toronto Stars). Your team will end up in a division where they can compete. Focus on the coaching, development opportunities and where they will improve to help them get to the AAA level.
