No one develops during a 10-0 whooping on either side of the ice. OMHA, GTHL etc are not nimble enough to be able to make that type of changes on the fly.
However, you will deal with other BS that you likely didn't deal with in your home centre. Which team did your kid sign to?

Some coaches will not bother with Exhibitions or maybe just the team we were on. EO YK have lost players and will not be the same team next year. Saints are supposed to have improved. Cobras have improved all season and have a very good coach. Raiders Bulldogs have been practicing from now so expect them to be a good team.

I've heard some teams are trying to schedule Exhibition games every weekend almost, my team did about 15 throughout the year - and with the tournaments was pretty good.
Sounds like some teams did none or very little - which would stink. I don't think that's common, since we played such a variety of teams this year - however its definitely something you will want to ask about if its important to you.
