United Steelworkers (ever heard of Google?) who heavily support the NDP and so does just about every other major union, which, in case you failed civics, is left of the Liberal party.... Political affiliation has nothing to do with whether or not a person puts their child contact sports. What about all the pearl-clutching suburban Conservative-voting Moms from Sauga, Oakville or Vaughan whose baby is too precious to play contact sports?... Some people consider things outside of social issues when casting a ballot...moron

Yeah, much better for them to get concussions at 13 after puberty when some kids are 200lbs and others are 75lbs. All wanting to kill each other because of their raging hormones.

You know what happens in Lacrosse? Kids try to hit a lot at 7yo, the hits aren't ever THAT hard, almost no one gets injured. They are all within 15-30lbs of each other for the most part. They learn not to hit from behind, they learn not to run with the ball with their head down, they learn to make a pass under pressure.

By U11 there is less hitting. Some teams still worry about trying to hit a lot, but the best teams are focusing on skill and learning to avoid getting hit. U13 comes and there is even less hits, no one gets seriously hurt and the game is better for it. Kids rarely, if ever, hit from behind. Kids rarely, if ever commit any boarding penalties, most kids know how to deal with kids that are only looking to hit - getting rid of the ball before they are in any danger.

HOCKEY HAS SOOOOOO MANY HORRIBLE INJURIES BECAUSE KIDS DON'T KNOW HOW TO HIT, AND KIDS DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY HOCKEY TO PROTECT THEMSELVES.
