huh? No idea what you are trying to say.
It is true the Omasta team has opened another tryout to find some tier 1 players. Are you saying some of their players have committed to other teams?
Their team looks pretty good in the spring tournament and competitive. Not sure why they will hold a tryout since he must be getting approached by parents already to take their kid. If I were to guess, it might be to raise some awareness about the team and use the money from the skate for hosting a team event...lol.
You realize the other bulldog team has players from out of town and who are playing a year up. Comparing a winter roster to a spring team is apples and oranges. I never quite understood that to be honest. Hyping up your winter team knowing your best players arent playing for you in the winter!

People can correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think any of the are "unofficially locked up". The couple that I am aware of, you can tell that they are the favourite to take the team. But, none of them have been told anything officially from the organization yet. The AAA orgs have plenty of time to see how these coaches play out this year. Especially early 24-25 fall season. I'd guess birthday skates start in the late fall, around christmas time.
You are correct, and even if they officially have it, lots changes in a year. The org can change their mind, the coach can change his mind. The best players can go elsewhere together, yadda yadda. If a coach promises you the team is going AAA it really means not much, especially if he does not consider your kid a core player. It's the same every year, people driving all over the place just because they think it will get them an AAA spot or because they think the team will be so good. Things fall apart quickly.
So AAA is the goal for all you people??
I understand wanting kid to play at the highest level possible but at what cost ?
Not to state the obvious here, but don't you not think there is a lot of overlap of the type of people who go to a rogue league in its first year, in promise of better hockey and better skilled players and the type of parents who want their kid to play AAA hockey?

Why would you leave your home centre where you could pay $1800-$2500 for hockey to go to KSL and pay AT LEAST $3500, or more if you didn't care?

Looks like the same thing with the Barrie Jr Colts where the roster is all from Purple Cobras. Seems like a huge talent gap between KSL and local MD teams.
Quinte will probably be YK East and Northshorebthe Junior Wings. MD players will probably go Ajax Pickering Raiders.
6 Purple cobras, 6 from BMHA MD.

Why have the Northern Saints not put out anything on social media about their U9s making AAA teams? You would think they would be proud and use it as a marketing tool?

Oh I forgot, we are talking about the same Saints organization that:

1. Made an accountment for spring hockey 1 week before the tryout date, way after every other team
2. charged way more per tryout than any other team
3. allowed their T1 head coach for 2016 to only go to 2 practices a week - no more.
4. brought in a 2017 team that the raiders had for like 3 days - now they have three teams, none of them a true T1 because they didn't mix them
5. Didn't keep their practices in locations that were agreed upon before the season started (half of them not even in the Saints "territory")
6. Announced being a partner of the "Toronto Bulldogs" without explaining what that meant to ANYONE in the organization, including their own coaches right before tryouts.
7. Still haven't explained it, just like when they were partners with "Toronto Elite" early last season.
8. A "Newmarket team" has had multiple partners from the Toronto area, when KSL has Toronto organizations.

The organization is a mess that doesn't communicate with anyone, including internally. Garbage.

2nd class organization. Never attract top players once they get the reputation.

It can be as garbage as they want to be, everyone is going there for U8 and U9 and people believe its the new rep stream. True fact

Enjoy the ride. You don’t like an Org, best thing to do is leave. There are obvious concerns with some Orgs and many will try to take accountability others won’t. Do what’s best and find what’s gonna work.
