I don’t see emc opening up AA. The emc cuts would be average to weak AA players and I don’t think emc wants to ruin their reputation.

London with 1 AAA 2 AA and 2 A teams is a joke. No way there is enough talent for 2 AA teams.

They should just have one team for all levels. You wanna force kids to get better? This is how you do it. Not by having a kid play AA when really the kid is a single A player.

All about the money though so I doubt anything will ever change.

EMC AA will never happen as long as it is an Alliance team made from OMHA centres. Not sure how AAA happened actually.

St No Names is the centre which AAA is based on

Conceivably Lambeth could apply to the OMHA as a AAA centre as they are not Alliance

There are also a lot of kids who know they wont make EMC. In fact wont even be given a fair look. So why bother trying out. Many families dont want the practice drive to sarnia or chatham. So there's some kids who dont even bother who could compete for a AA team. Just stay in Shamrock. LJK AA or mustangs A wont NRP as well, understandably. I think the whole reason EMC has a AAA and no AA team. 1. Had no choice. Region had to alliance. 2. Omha prob said no to emc AA as an understanding because it would have killed shamrock. I think today the 2 mustang teams would compete in shamrock. Problem still is LJK AA playing A teams. It's a bad mix really. Suggestion. Get rid of alliance and omha. Like 2 bitchy siblings fighting over a $10 inheritance.

Put ALL teams, at whatever level or age, under ONE group (maybe the sparkling new Hockey Canada) so in the end Ilderton can continue to play Dorchester and Strathroy could play the Mustangs.

Combine local associations who struggle with numbers
Divide the areas geographically to establish who you play so you can play during the week not just weekends
Feeder leagues below AAA and freedom of movement for all within the ONE group (if someone wants to drive 3 hrs one way to play/practice have at it...their time their money)

Of course all the executives in ALL the associations (OMHA, Alliance...down to the Ilderton's and LJK) would have their power neutered so it will never ever happen

ONE governing body at provincial level. Why do we need 4 or 5? balanced AAA to A hockey made by #'s and region and open borders to follow well run associations and good coaching development programs. Everyone screams about wanting freedom in this country and we're run by commies. Why not freedom in hockey too?

You do have freedom!! No one is forcing you to live were you live. If it is so vitally important to you that your kid play on team that is not his home center, than just move to that center, and presto he will be on the team that you want him to be on.

Or do what the high high end players do and billet with someone else bc parents have "separated"

Newmarket was a long way to the Marlie home rink so 97 "moved"
