JB & DS get away with whatever they want to...apparently JB running AAA skates before AAA tryouts begin out of town somewhere.

So what will keep top AA kids in LJK when they are passed over by F1’s.

Wait! JB is running skates before tryouts begin? Out of town kids attending? I’m confused…why does the Knights organization permit that?

All organizations do this at all ages groups been happening for years. I’ve seen many of them at the flight exe centre arena

Of course! This isn’t new. Let’s have the most competitive programs available. Recruiting a couple kids to improve the program is in everyone’s best interest

What is the point of having formal tryouts if they are being held privately beforehand??

You have to know who the players are before tryouts. Any kid can go out and work hard and be on their best behaviour during a 4 day span. But how are they the rest of the season, do they show up and work every time they’re on the ice, are they a good teammate, do they bring value to the locker room.

"You have to know who the players are before tryouts" = This is why coaches are selected well before current season is over. Go out to a few games and observe...plenty of opportunities!

"...are they a good teammate" = coaches from current season generally give feedback when solicited for it.

If the head coach decides not to do these things then perhaps he/she doesn't "bring value to the locker room"

I agree with this. Too bad a lot of coaches don’t do that. You can tell everything you need to know by observing a player with their previous years team, most undervalued resource

Agree 100%. Much easier to just rent ice at a cost and then invite who you think might be some potential players for your team...ya that makes sense! Moron

I think it’s good for organizations to allow a little movement, it keeps things fresh at the high levels

Not so sure on that comment. Not a high end player (agreed) but a hard worker and deserves to be on that team. There are other players that are much less talented than him.
