Re: LJK 2 Tier AA
Everyone thinks every board is a mess. All coaches are terrible, and all coaches kids are only on the team because their parent coaches. So many complaints, so few volunteers.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 3:28 pmGuest wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 11:27 amHow about U14 team...lots of departuresGuest wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 11:01 amU13...but any age reallyGuest wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 10:58 amIt is more having three A ‘s than team logo. popGuest wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 10:54 amYes it will...but what about the AAA team...is it getting stronger?? No board is perfect but at least LJK has a lot of non parents on the board. A lot of work and effort that goes into running an organization, a thankless job.
Hopefully they end up axing the second tier AA team and just offer an A team. Options are good for kids, and playing at the level you belong is imperative to development.
The biggest thing all organizations should do is bring in 3rd party evaluators for all teams. Without this the boards reputation will always be soiled. disgruntled parents who think there kid is there but isn’t, or coaches picking kids because of friendships etc is a bad look. There needs to be accountability in this regard, once that happens, I think the toxicity would decrease dramatically.
Re: LJK 2 Tier AA
Actually there are plenty of qualified volunteers...trouble is the "thankless board" you speak of was filled with NO VOTE required! LMAO! Glad they felt the need to award themselves again without an AGM formal vote or proxy! Well Done! https://londonjuniorknights.com/Article ... _Declared/Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 1:22 pmEveryone thinks every board is a mess. Re: LJK 2 Tier AA
Really?? And exactly how does the process work where you join a “formed” board?? Was there a posted list of vacancies? That would meet proper governance if it did with terms of board members. Just another example of how dysfunctional the LJK board is. Truly a pile of very under qualified people.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 11:15 pmBet they’d find room for you if you wanted to joint.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 2:08 pmActually there are plenty of qualified volunteers...trouble is the "thankless board" you speak of was filled with NO VOTE required!
